GFA Denies Mutiny in Black Stars Camp: Preparation for Saturday’s Clash Against Germany Hits Full-Gear

The Black Stars preparation for Saturday’s game against Germany is in full swing, a statement from the Ghana Football Association has revealed.

The Black Stars lost 2-1 to the USA in heartbreaking fashion in their first game on Monday night, and the aftermath of that game has seen several issues rear their head in the camp of the team.

Initial reports from the team’s camp in Macieo was that the team was in a dejected mood after the loss, and the side flew straight back to Macieo after the game without even stopping for any respite in their hotel in Natal.

Then a report came out claiming mutiny and discontent in the team’s camp, particularly from some senior players and towards the head coach-Kwesi Appiah.

Speaking after the game on Monday, Kevin Prince Boateng expressed surprise over the decision to start him from the bench, stating the coach must have known what he was doing; in a not too veiled dig at Kwesi Appiah.

But the GFA has officially come out, claiming the reports of a revolt were untrue. All 23 players were on hand for the training session after the report of discontent in camp.

“We wish to assure Ghanaians that coach Kwesi Appiah and all his players have shifted their focus to the match against Germany on Saturday, keen on winning the match to revive the Black Stars chances of progressing to the knockout stage” The statement said.

It is always difficult to find a prefix for Deborah Vanessa of ‘Uncle Obama’ fame when we want to write about her…We can’t really call her a musician, an actress or anything that we know of but occasionally, we are forced to put her up here—making our work difficult.

For no obvious reason that we know of or can think about, Deborah Vanessa has uploaded a video on youtube, showing off her BUMBUM and some pimples on her face—at least that is all we see…

We are not sure of what she is cooking, that is if there is anything to be cooked. For all we know, a video has popped up with Deborah in bed, lifting her legs and bum up into the air and advertising her body and bumbum…

Alleged Killer of Fennec Okyere-Bull Dog Goes Totally Silent – Whose Injunction Is That? – Court? Family/Friends? Or His Conscience?

Ghana woke up on Thursday, 13^th March, 2014 only to be banged in the face with the sad news that, manager of award winning musician, Kwaw Kesse, Fennec Okyere, was found dead in his house on the Spintex Road – his body was found in a pool of blood.

Though several reports indicated that he was shot dead, later, spokesperson for the deceased’s family, Madam Ursula Ekuful, confirmed that Fennec was not shot but rather, stabbed to death – hence, his body found in a pool of blood.

Whilst the family of Fennec Okyere, media players and the general public were crying foul – admonishing the police service to clump down on the killers, the police was at work, and the police apprehended manager of self acclaimed King of Dancehall, Shatta Wale, named Nana Asiamah Hanson aka Bull Dog.

The case was opened on 2^nd June, 2014 and according to reports after the hearing, the prosecution pleaded with the court to allow them has access to the defendant – Bull Dog’s phone but the defence counsel raised objection – so the court directed the prosecution to serve the court with enough reason why the court should grant their request.

Before the arrest of Bull Dog and his release from police custody, he was very vocal in media circles – as a permanent critic on ETV’s ‘Talk Showbiz’ every Tuesday evening and PLUZZ 89.9 FM’s Sunday programme ‘Flex on Pluzz.’

It therefore came as a surprise to all entertainment players when the police, in making charges against Bull Dog, said “the suspect went hiding and was missing on all entertainment programmes on radio and on television.” In fact friends of Bull Dog called the police’s bluff!

Currently or after the first court hearing, Bull Dog has been totally silent in media and showbiz circles. He no longer speaks as a panelist on ETV’s ‘Talk Showbiz’ every Tuesday evening and PLUZZ 89.9 FM’s Sunday programme ‘Flex on Pluzz.’

Today, it’s as though there is no body called Bull Dog at all in Ghana’s showbiz industry! There are even no write ups about him or his artiste – Shatta Wale.

Meanwhile, Bull Dog is one of the deep thinkers and honest art panelists Ghana’s showbiz can boast of. So are we to lose his splendid and erudite opinions and submissions simply because he’s been alleged to have killed someone?

Is it the court that has instructed him to be silent – ‘don’t talk on radio or television?’ Does the court even have such powers to do so? Even if they have or do, in my layman’s understanding, that contravenes one of the provisions of Ghana’s 1992 Constitution – thus, ‘Freedom of Speech.’

According to multiple online reports, the General Manager of Avant Claire Grande Afrique-Christopher Owen has come out to say, Nadia Buari’s claim of having rejected a $75,000 endorsement deal from Avant Claire Grande Afrique is FALSE.

Christopher is reported to have told ‘The Juice Report’ that “his company offered the actress they chose out of many a total sum of $60,000 which she turned down after Avant declined a $15,000 raise she and her management requested for during negotiations”.

So Nadia Buari was going for the deal except that she did not get enough money as she wanted—in spite of the fact that she knew about the bleaching ingredients…

Christoper Ownen added that “Nadia’s retreat had nothing to do with the said bleaching chemicals”.

Delta Airlines Forced to Apologize for An Ignorant Tweet They Sent About Ghana….

Even though the International Union for the Conservation of Nature’s (IUCN) research in 2010 found that there are no giraffes in Ghana and that these animals are in the wild in other parts of Africa including Botswana and Cameroon, Delta Airlines do not know about this and sent out an ignorant tweet during the Ghana-USA match on Monday—-which they’ve been forced to apologize for…

Joining the many Ghanaians and Americans on twitter to talk about the match, Delta Airlines sent out the above stereotyping tweet, representing Ghana with a giraffe and the USA with its statute of liberty.

Surely, whoever sent the tweet from Delta Airlines office thinks Africa is a country (instead of a continent) with giraffes everywhere. It could have taken this person less than 2 minutes to find out from Google that Ghana is a small country in Africa and we do not have giraffes out here.

Is there a Single God? Soccer Predictions From Various Pastors Depict Otherwise | They Make Us Believe God Is a Liar

Muslims believe there is only one Allah. Christians view on this issue is somehow ambiguous. According to some section of Christians, there is only one true God. Some on the other hand believe there is more than one God.

I have always ascribed to the notion that there exists a single God in this universe. Conversely, the attitudes of some pastors make me want to think otherwise. It is not surprising when people make predictions in connection with matches being played. It’s either such predictions come true or they get flawed.

I do not have any problem when a flawed prediction came from an ordinary person. However, I find every reason to ask questions when predictions from pastors do not come to pass. Many so-called pastors came up with a whole lot of predictions in relation to the Ghana – USA match that was played on Monday. I spent some time panning through some radio stations before the match. Among other things, some pastors were on air making their predictions known to the general public.

If not anything at all, I can still remember the predictions of about 5 pastors in relation to the Ghana – USA match. It may interest you to know that, none of the foretold scores by the men of God came to pass. According to some of them, God revealed the scores to them via dreams. Others were of the notion that, God, through the Holy Spirit, spoke with them.

Unhealthy Competitions: Do You Stand Out Or Fit In?

Over time I’ve realized that we as humans only get/have one chance to make the decisions that will clear the path for our entire future; when we allow anyone else play an ‘insignificant’ role in them by competing with them to score points. Sometimes, we love to believe we’re not like everybody but the truth is we search for individual ways to fit in – no matter how unhealthy the journey is. Why don’t we ‘own’ and do things because we want to and enjoy them but not because we also have to fit in?

People who stand out are very comfortable with who they are. They celebrate their uniqueness (what others may call weird) and allow their individuality to shine. To them life is not a competition and they are not in competition with no one. They don’t agree with the majority, keep quiet or go along with people’s opinion and they are not bothered to be labelled an outsider.

It’s this ‘me too’ syndrome that is causing so much social vices in society. It feels like one needs to be in competition with someone but in the long run, you realise that you were/are actually in competition with yourself. Funny enough, a person who wants to acquire and do all the things to ‘belong’ don’t even have the means. It’s just unfortunate they rather realise too late that they are not in competition with nobody and should have learnt to conduct their affairs in like manner!

Ghana Has GREAT Footballers But They Won’t Be Allowed to Play Because of ‘Football Politics’

In Ghana, there are several talented footballers playing for both local and foreign clubs—with some in the known to the public and some not…

As a football fanatic, I am aware of the many great footballers our local clubs have and those beyond the shores of Ghana. There are several talented players who are ready to give all they have to play for Ghana but there is this thing we call FOOTBALL POLITICS in Ghana, where you get selected to play based on which big man is asking that you put on the field.

If you take time to look at all the men Ghana took the 2014 World Cup, there are some obvious ones who do not deserve to be in the squad and there are some great players who were left behind. Have you asked yourself WHY?

Even among the chosen squad, it is alleged that who plays and who does not play is not much of a prerogative of the Ghanaian coach-Kwesi Appiah, but some big men at GFA and some politicians control who has to play and who does not have to play—for their selfish interest.

You watch the Brazil team and you begin to wonder how come they have so many excellent players at every spot. Ghana has them too but our politics of football means that, those with big men backing their call are given the chance to play (either they can play or not) and those who can play but do not have any politician or influential big man behind them will be benched—that is if they were lucky to have been called.
