Delta Airlines Forced to Apologize for An Ignorant Tweet They Sent About Ghana….

Delta Airlines
Delta Airlines’ Tweet

Even though the International Union for the Conservation of Nature’s (IUCN) research in 2010 found that there are no giraffes in Ghana and that these animals are in the wild in other parts of Africa including Botswana and Cameroon, Delta Airlines do not know about this and sent out an ignorant tweet during the Ghana-USA match on Monday—-which they’ve been forced to apologize for…

Joining the many Ghanaians and Americans on twitter to talk about the match, Delta Airlines sent out the above stereotyping tweet, representing Ghana with a giraffe and the USA with its statute of liberty.

Surely, whoever sent the tweet from Delta Airlines office thinks Africa is a country (instead of a continent) with giraffes everywhere. It could have taken this person less than 2 minutes to find out from Google that Ghana is a small country in Africa and we do not have giraffes out here.

When several twitter users pointed out the ignorance of Delta Airlines’ tweet, the company sent out another tweet to apologize, saying; “We’re sorry for our choice of photo in our previous tweet. Best of luck to all teams.”

    • Their service is so poor lol… THey should because they are pricey and doesn’t even deserve to be this damn pricey. People in Atlanta demonstrated against their pricing and got to a point they stopped their direct flight from here. It will work if we all will do the same in NY. The sad thing is people in Ghana will loose their jobs and we know how hard it will be, so on the second thought our wannabe government should maintain them saaa.

  1. Like I said yesterday America is the most ignorant country in the world. People from other parts of the world are usually more informed

  2. And yet their stupid stinky airline goes directly to our motherland? what is this mahama doing about this? There are many airlines we can connect to Ghana and cancel this delta business. They are pricey and yet our useless government is not doing none about it. Americans will never change, bunch of uneducated ignorants. We the same people they labeling as giraffe are the ones making good use of their resources. We are educated, hardworking and also beneficial to the states. Bunch of homeless people. you all come to Atlanta downtown thats when you will see millions of so called americans sleeping on the street. NOnsence
