Ghana 1-2 Portugal: Black Stars Exit World Cup With a Whimper

Asamoah Gyan

Ghana was eliminated from the world cup group stage for the first time in her history as the team fell limply to a 1-2 loss to Portugal.

Cristiano Ronaldo’s 80th minute goal separated the two sides after Asamoah Gyan’s 3rd of the tournament cancelled John Boye’s own goal which had given Portugal the lead.

Both Ghana and Portugal needed big wins and a stroke of luck in the other game to stand any chance of making it to the second round from Group G.

And Germany delivered on their end of the bargain, beating the USA by a lone Muller goal; but the Black Stars found the going against a Christiano Ronaldo inspired Portugeuse side a little too hot to handle.

Amidst stories of camp brawls, verbal abuse, and strike threats, the Black Stars had to lift themselves to try and get the win without suspended duo Sulley Muntari and Kevin Prince Boateng.

This precipitated two changes from the last line-up, Agyeman Badu and Abdul Majeed Warris coming on for the duo.

Luis Suarez Suspended For 9 Games & Banned For 4 Months

Luis Suarez
Luis Suarez

There’s no Ghanaian football lover who doesn’t know Luis Suarez. In fact, we dislike him with a passion for his ‘hand of god’ stunt against us.

That doesn’t rubbish the fact that he is a classic player well loved by his country because his antics no matter how unprofessional, always favour his team. The player seems to have bitten more than he can chew recently when he decided to bite fellow player Italy’s Giorgio Chiellini during a game.

FIFA is taking quick action and has responded with a suspension from 9 games and a 4 month ban. Inevitably taking him out of the present world cup journey.

Suarez is banned and restricted from entering any stadium or participating in any football related activity for the four months of the ban.

After sacking Sulley Muntari and Kevin Prince Boateng from the Black Star’s camp few hours ago, the Ghana Football Association (GFA) has approved coach Kwesi Appiah’s decision to suspend both Sulley Muntari and Kevin-Prince Boateng indefinitely from the Black Stars.

The suspension takes immediate effect. According to GFA, Kevin Prince Boateng’s indefinite suspension is due to vulgar verbal insults he threw at the Black Stars coach-Kwesi Appiah during the team’s training session in Maceio this week.

Kevin Prince Boateng who has already left the team’s camp have had his accreditation for the 2014 World Cup withdrawn with immediate effect.

Kevin Prince Boateng has confirmed he has been sent home but denied the charges, telling the German magazine Sport-Bild: “Sulley Muntari and I were just joking around, and the coach stopped the session and sent us back to the changing room.

“Afterwards I went to him and asked what he had against me and he started yelling. He insulted me. There were words like: ‘Fuck off’.”

Boateng added he “absolutely accepts” his suspension, but added: “No-one should think I insulted the coach. I’m travelling now, and I wish my colleagues all the best for the match against Portugal.”

Black Stars Have Finally Received Their Cash | Photos & Video of Them Kissing Bundle of Cash

Black Stars Money 3

We know money does a lot of MAGIC but considering how much most of these players are paid, we did not expect them to act like a bunch of broke men having been given some cash—but reports say some did.

Ahead of Ghana vrs Portugal match tonight, Brazilian TV channel ‘Globo’ has published photos and videos of Ghana players being paid in Brasilia—and some of the players were seen kissing bundle of cash. Before that, the broadcast showed the monies being escorted by a police convey…

We heard yesterday that the Government of Ghana had airlifted 3 million dollar cash via a chartered plane to Brazil, to pay the players their appearances fees and bonuses, which has become a trending issue in the last few days.

Prior to this, the players had threatened to boycott the Ghana vrs Portugal World Cup match should they not receive their payments before the match—and had gone ahead to even boycott training sessions as an indicator of how serious and upset they are…

Musicians Turn Pastors | WanLov Da Kubolor & Mensa Quit Music to Become Pastors

FOKN BOIS pasters
FOKN BOIS pasters

These guys are damn smart; joining the richest business empire in the world which does not even pay any taxes is the best thing to do.

Each day and night, churches across the world especially in Africa steal from their poor members and backed by tax free policies, the pastors/leaders buy expensive cars—and even private jets while the poor contributing church members struggle to afford decent meals.

And for those who are smart enough not to give their cash to these churches, the churches still come at you somehow—tormenting your life with ‘loud preachings’ which do not make sense in anyway but the flock believes.

Against this background, Wanlov Da Kubolor and Mensa Ansah of FOKN BOIS fame have decided to become pastors, leaving behind the music business where they have to work hard and pay taxes on their hard earned cash—really unfair.

VIDEO: A Prophet Says Ghana Will Score Portugal Today!

Ghana Vrs Portugal prediction
Ghana Vrs Portugal prediction

First of all, it is highly probably that God exists. On a scale of 1 to 7, with 1 meaning God exists and 7 meaning God does not exist—all the existing evidence point to 6, it is highly probable there is God.

Secondly, even if it so happens that God exists or you believe HE does exist, it will be absurd, irrational and utterly displaced of priority to think that God will be interested in 22 men chasing a round object around a pitch in the face of pressing needs such as, countless children dying in Iraq, in Somalia, in Syria and other parts of the world.

All the same, a Ghanaian white gown wearing prophet has come to say, Ghana will beat Portugal tonight—and if it happens, people will say the prophet was right and God exists. However, if it does not happen, same people will say, the prophet is false—this does not mean God does not exist. You can never win with believers on any indicator (after all, it is about faith—believing without evidence)…

Anyway, watch the video below and since the prophesy is favourable to what I want to happen, I will also shout AMEN! Pure nonsense though…

Deal Real Productions & Idris Elba Apologize to FIPAG & Ghana Actors Guild | Says They Did Not Intentionally SNUB Them But Did Not Know About Their Existence

Idris-Elba
Idris Elba

Following a yesterday article GhanaCelebrities.Com picked for publication from Razz Newspaper titled ‘Idris Elba Snubs FIPAG & Ghana Actors Guild Making Them UPSET’, I received an email from Danny Damah, one of the two founders of Deal Real Productions—the production company responsible for “Beasts of No Nation” which brought Hollywood actor-Idris Elba to Ghana for a recent shoot.

According to Danny Damah who also introduced himself as being a co-producer of the movie, a link to the article published on GhanaCelebrities.Com was sent to him, drawing his attention to a supposed SNUB and failure to meet the executives of both FIPAG and Ghana Actors Guild, so he decided to swiftly make contact, apologise and straighten things.

In the email to GhanaCelebritiess.Com, Danny Damah wrote “ A link was just sent to us on your article about ‘Idris Elba snubbing’ the film Producers Association of Ghana and the Actors Guild. We would like to clarify and subsequently apologize to FIPAG and GAG. Idris Elba is simply a hired Ghanaian actor on this project and only arrived in Ghana when the movie was midway to play his role and leave. He has no knowledge of the production logistics or permitting process and rather being Ghanaian, he is the main reason why the movie is shooting in Ghana. We would like to apologize to FIPAG and GAG as we arranged all the permitting.

We would have loved to engage the services of the associations very earlier on in the process, since this project has been a massive undertaking and would have required industry organizations to help hire the over 5500 people directly or indirectly associated with the film. However until I saw your article today, I have never heard of either of these associations and they were not recommended to us by any of the industry veterans, vendor, agencies or government organizations working on the film”.
