Kumawood’s Ebola Movie Producer- Samuel Ofori Says Ghana’s Movie Industry Lacks Creativity

Creativity has never been part of the Ghanaian blood, therefore, I agree with Samuel Ofori when he says the Ghanaian movie industry lacks creativity. But to suggest that, he is somewhat the creative one among the lost sheep makes me wonder the sort of creativity he is talking about.

According to ZionFelix, the Kumasi based movie producer who is putting things in place to start shooting his latest film-titled, Ebola (as seen above) spoke on Ash Fm, saying;

“How can I destroy an industry that I earn my income from? How can I do that?” he asked.

“In fact it’s very sad for people to pass such comments against me because that is my style and even when you go to the developed countries topical issues, words or phrases that become talk of the nation are used by many of their film producers so what is wrong for me to do same here?’’

Samuel Ofori added that ‘’ some of the industry players lack creativity but  in this modern era we have to be creative enough and upgrade the industry, so if nobody is ready to do it, I’m going to do it and nothing can stop  me from doing it because it sells in the market ‘’

He also mentioned that,  he will go on location next two weeks to start shooting his Ebola blockbuster!

Yeah right…Creativity all the way!

  3. oki the ghanaian movie industry…well some of their movie sucks realllll bad….but I dont have anything against informative movies…A movie about ebola wont be of a bad idea as long as it is done properly instead of horrible contents like they normally do in some of their movies….hollywood do make movies about “happenings” but it is always done pproperly…there’s been movies about Ebola before…hollywood of course…the movie Outbreak is an example…but if i Know my people (ghanafuo) very well, this movie will be crap….
