For some reason, Sarkodie seems to think GhanaCelebrities.Com has special interest in taking shots at him—when in fact, we just love saying the truth, shooting at whoever carries the topic of the day. In 2010, GhanaCelebrities.Com published an article titled “Sarkodie Slaps His Manager In The Face” and the musician who was pretty upset went … Read more

DO YOU AGREE: Blood Donors in Ghana Should Start Taking Money From Hospitals – After All, The Hospitals Don’t Dash The Blood to Patients – They Sell To Make Money

blood donation1

A close friend of mine recently shared his experience with me on blood donation and transfusion. This friend of mine, who has voluntarily been donating blood to different hospitals and clinics for some time now, was admitted to a hospital and needed blood. The hospital gave this friend of mine the blood and after, charged him for it. This friend of mine was highly disappointed!

He added that: “I’ve been donating my hard earned blood to various hospitals and clinics to save the lives of others without taking a cedi or pesewa but did so in exchange for tea bags, Milks, oats, sugar, and some blood tonics. When I needed blood to save my life too, I paid for it!”

Speaking to a health practitioner on this topic, he said “if your friend was able to produce a relative to donate, I’m sure the hospital would have transfused the blood from that relative to him without any charge – provided their bloods are compatible. In the absence of that, the hospital did no wrong in selling the blood to him.”

Hospitals in Ghana, usually the big ones – Korle Bu Teaching Hospital, 37 Military Hospital, Komfo Anokye Hospital are always calling on the general public to visit their outfits and voluntarily donate blood so that they can get blood and conserve them in their blood banks to save patients who need blood (suffering from anemia) or needs blood for surgical operations.

Rihanna and Chris Brown

From BeyondGossip.Com

It seems like we have our own ‘Rachel and Ross’ relationship of this generation, as it has emerged Chris Breezy is pushing hard for a comeback with old flame Rihanna.

Model Karrueche Tran, another off/on again love of his, recently called it quits after revealing she was having difficulties dealing with the entire media circus, as well as a problem we are all familiar with, the spectre of the ex- in this case Rihanna.

She told talk show Just Keke “I’ve never dated a celebrity before so it was very new to me, Paparazzi and all that.

And then, even the situation with Rihanna…, It’s the case of the ex. We all go through it, do you know what I’m saying”

But Chris Breezy the Deuces dude was hardly fazed by the breakup, as he’s immediately making moves to win back ‘the love of his life’ Rihanna.

Man Kills Mum for Using Witchcraft to Stall His Progress in NIgeria

Shocking News
Shocking News

I find impossible to fathom that a person would raise their hand against their own mother, much less kill them; and even more difficult to digest considering his reason is that his mum was a witch.

That is the dilemma 29 year old Ekene Ucheagwu has to contend with, as police paraded him through the streets after being charged with killing his 69 year old mother.

Ekene confessed to the act, saying he had to kill her because she was preventing the spirit of God from coming into the family. His mum had allegedly cursed all her children (six, with two already dead), such that they could not progress in life, and the ladies could not even get married.

Now that the mum is dead, maybe Ekene can show us the spirit of God that the old lady was preventing from entering into the family?

Can You Stop Playing With that FAKE Hair Woman | It Ain’t Yours!

Black woman touching weave
Black woman touching weave

What started as a minor personal revulsion for weave as a result of most Black women increasingly seeking for beauty refuge under the hair of others has become a daily headache for me, as I cannot escape the glorification of weaves anywhere on this planet…

I acknowledge the sense of security, self-esteem and the deluded concept of beauty derived by almost all Black women from wearing throw-away or sold out hair of other people—-as if those who are cutting their hair are stupid not to know their hair is the definition of beauty. That is, if it really has such a character!

From floor sweeping weaves to the short cut ones, men are forced to complement Black women for snubbing their own unique hair to wear the lost hair of others. And the way some Black women present themselves by “exalting” their fake hair makes you wonder what would happen to their existence if all of a sudden those cutting their hair for them stop doing so.

Of course that will not happen because some Black women would self imprison themselves behind doors—as their pride and beauty would have been completely eroded. And we don’t want to see an era of self-degeneration of Black women.

DID SHE REALLY SAY THAT: Christabel Ekeh Says She Loves THICK Make Up & She Can’t Just Imagine How She Would Look Without Heavy Make Up

Christabel Ekeh1
Christabel Ekeh

It is obvious actress-Christabel Ekeh craves for attention and if this is not one of her attempts to make headlines, then I will say; she really has to address her self-esteem pendulum and not live under heavy make-up.

In a recent interview with Ghana’s Daily Graphic, the actress is quoted as saying;

“I know people will disagree with me but I do heavy makeup because it makes me confident and I think it is along the same line as putting your best foot forward. You know that the first thing that people normally notice when they see a woman is the face and if it has been enhanced with skillfully applied makeup, I feel ready for the world and confident in proceeding through the day,”

So she means her confidence and sense of security is in heavy make-up and without it, she has appearance and confidence issues…huh?

Of course we all love make-up as women but to make that the cornerstone of your confidence indicates that, there is some underlying low-self esteem issue which must be dealt with independently.
