Can T.B Joshua and His Church Give Us a Break & Stop this Ridiculous Attempt on his Life Thing? | Rescue Workers Say Building Collapsed Because Additional Stories Were Being Added

T.B.-Joshua
T.B. Joshua

It’s been a crazy week for T.B Joshua and his Synagogue Church of All Nations (SCOAN), after one of his structures collapsed; an accident that has so far killed about 80 people.

Whilst a terrible tragedy which people are still trying to process, T.B Joshua and SCOAN have made things worse with their ridiculous attempts to explain away the incident. For my part I do not see how any right thinking person should accept the explanation being proffered by the man his followers like to call ‘prophet’.

Joshua is somehow convinced that a helicopter that was seen circling the building moments before it collapsed must have caused the incident. Unless the aircraft was carrying some sort of invisible earthquake inducing device, I do not see how that correlates to the collapse of a building that has claimed so many lives.

Even worse is his conviction, from nowhere really, that it must have been an attempt on his life by his enemies. I cannot imagine the level of hubris required to make such an incident all about yourself, even worse the feeling that there are people in this world who would accept this explanation as gospel.

A BBC report quotes a South African national, Khathuatshelo Ramovha, who having escaped the incident, saying that it must all be part of God’s plan, and that he would return to SCOAN in Nigeria whenever he had the chance, despite his first ill-fated trip having cost around $2, 000.

The same report cites rescue workers as having determined the cause of the building collapse as the construction of additional stories without reinforcing the foundations, which is a cause you can understand, rather than a helicopter with superpowers.

In a statement on their Facebook page, SCOAN continued to maintain the attempt on the ‘prophet’ nonsense, saying that “the church views this tragedy as part of an attack on the Synagogue Church of All Nations, and in particular, Prophet T.B Joshua. In due course, God will reveal the perpetrators of this unfortunate tragedy”

We know the perpetrators already, SCOAN and their rushed attempts to erect more structures without due diligence, to enable them host more people to enrich the church coffers. This revelation should lead to someone being held responsible for this tragedy, and this attempt to deflect the blame is in pretty bad taste.

SCOAN should stop this nonsense as I think it insults people’s intelligence to come out with such outlandish theories. Same as with T.B Joshua coming out after the fact- when people pointed out that since he’s such a powerful prophet why didn’t he foresee the tragedy; by pointing to some general stuff he said as warnings of the tragedy if people had listened intently.

How about next time you speak more clearly? So that 80 people do not have to die because they misinterpreted your message?

People must be pretty gullible if this is the best that Joshua and his church could come out with as damage control, and not worry about it being seen as nonsense by anyone.

  1. TB Joshua is a disgrace, an absolute bottom feeder who needs to be stopped. What I don’t understand is he can prophesy whether someone’s gonna win an election, or which football team’s gonna win, but can’t foresee his church collapsing smh….I see no reason why TB Joshua should still be in charge of anything in that disaster site. The government should be in complete control.
