A copy of a writ available to GhanaCelebrities.Com indicates that a group of actresses who are now championing an association called ‘Actresses Association of Ghana’ (ACTAG) led by Mercy Asiedu as the President, has served him a letter to Kumawood actor by name Akwesi Asamoah aka Big Akwess for alleging that some Kumasi film producers and directors, sleep with upcoming actors before giving them roles in movies.
Speaking to Mercy Asiedu, she confirmed that their counsel has indeed written a letter to be sent to Big Akwess to retract his comments within 3 days because in their opinion, his comment is unfounded and a slur on womanhood.

As at the time of speaking to Mercy Asiedu, she told GhanaCelebrities.Com they were yet to serve Big Akwess the letter.
“Actresses Association of Ghana is in to seek the welfare and integrity of actresses in Kumasi and those in Accra.We won’t take such nonsense from any actor or person who does or say anything that soils the image of women in this chosen field of ours” Mercy Asiedu opined.
Our calls to Big Akwess has not been returned. When we are able to establish contact with him, we shall bring to our readers, what he has to say – whether he will apologize or stick to his statement. Until then….MOTWUM!!
