Kalybos, the only Bos with one ‘S’ is back with a new video—which got us laughing out loud.
From being a Ghanaian Youtube star, Kalybos is currently shooting several movies alongside well established industry persons—and to think that he started it all from Youtube makes it interesting.
Despite the over night stardom, he has not forgotten his Youtube fans and he has returned with a new funny video-SWIM.
It seems the general public is now tired of Kimye and their antics.
Kim Kardashian and Kanye West were greeted with boos for arriving late at the Lanvin show in Paris. The crowd started booing the supercouple as they walked to the front row of the show.
Kanye however got defensive and confronted the crows for heckling them. He told the crowd it Alber Elbaz’s fault they were late because she asked to see them at the backstage.
“Alber asked to see us. Don’t boo us. We’re not late.” said Kanye.
Beauty pageants generates a lot of heated arguments with most people saying it is exploitation and sexualisation of women but one person who begs to differ is this year’s Miss Ghana UK contestant number one-Emefa.
According to the student of University of Warwick studying LLM in International Development Law and Human Rights, beauty pageants such as Miss Ghana UK empower women by helping them with their communication skills as well as accepting their bodies since the pageant has women of all sizes competing.
Using herself as an example, she said; “I’m actually very shy but Miss Ghana UK has given me the opportunity to practice speaking in public”. She believes the public speaking training and the charitable courses associated with the pageant makes the pageant worthwhile.
Professor Blain Roberts an associate professor of California State University in an article she wrote for The New York Times stated that that beauty pageants exploit women, sexualize their bodies and encourage conformity to “ludicrous” beauty standards. She further stated that it is a bad idea since this encourages most young girls to follow suit.
You might have come across him at some point in time or the other. He is that one person who is always present at every church event in town. Our dear brother is most likely to be neatly dressed and could be easily confused for the pastor.
He likes to be heard and so it is of little wonder you see his name appearing in the list of guest speakers. He operates in a calm and confident manner as a faithful servant sure of his salvation, writes Adwoa Boah on BrutallyUncensored.Com.
He is not just everybody’s friend but also the people’s favourite as he is easy to talk and relate to. He has a good sense of humour and has never been seen in any argument of any sort. He has the voice of a public speaker. You know, that deep kind of voice which grabs your attention and keeps you mesmerised by his speech.
He always seems to be busy, in a hurry to some unknown destination to take care of some private business. Twenty four hours is obviously not enough time in a day for him to get all that needs to be done. He is always smiling, but wouldn’t you do the exact same thing if you had such perfect set of teeth and a smile as cute as his?
But as they say, no man is perfect and my dear brother, no matter how close he is to perfection, is no exception. The sceptic in me just wouldn’t let me be and so I decided to get closer to him, in a bid to unravel the mystery behind this intriguing individual.
After her performance in her first movie-Number One Fan got her Ghana Movie Awards and the City People Awards’ nominations, Sonia Ibrahim (sister of actress-Juliet Ibrahim) scored another nomination in the 2014 NAFCA, which she proudly won.
The 2014 NAFCA was recently held at Beverly Hills in the USA and Sonia Ibrahim who was not present at the ceremony has received her plaque—posing with it for some shots.
Interestingly, Sonia Ibrahim, mother of one, has stated in the past that she does not intend to make acting a full time career, even though she has a space in her heart for it.
Today, we have Sabina, 28 from Kenya and Samantha, 29 from South Africa who have also taken the challenge to compete with the young—and more important, entertain Africa.

Sheilla | Age: 21 | Botswana
Sheilla is a student from Gaborone in Botswana, currently studying an AAT Diploma. She entered Big Brother Hotshots because she believes that ‘it’s a platform for people like me who were born for the spotlight. It puts us out there to succeed in our careers – in my case, my music career’. She’s excited that the whole continent will be watching her: ‘it is like interacting within the house with someone invisible, or a ghost, and the thought of what they think just gives you an adrenaline rush’.
In its latest fight against cholera in the city, the Accra Metropolitan Assembly (AMA) yesterday closed down Dynasty Chinese restaurant in Osu after an inspection team stormed several restaurants in the area to inspect.
For some time now, the AMA has been inspecting the hygienic practices of restaurants, chop bars and other eating businesses. A move I highly applaud. People pay so much for food from these restaurants only to end up with all sorts of food poisoning.
The Public Health Directorate of the AMA headed by Doctor Sampson Anim Boateng closed down Dynasty Chinese Restaurant because it had the most unhygienic kitchen in which it prepares food for customers. Algae infested surroundings, a defective gas cylinder which was supported by a stone, grease and soot accumulated surfaces and heat extractors, rusted and filthy stoves and algae infested areas at the entrance to the kitchen.
Other restaurants like Noble House and Frankies were warned of slight uncleanliness which they promised to clean up but the filth encountered at Dynasty was too much for the AMA to overlook leading to the closure.
Comedian/Musician Aplus has been doing a lot of talking these days, blasting his frustration on social media—ranging from Victoria Hammah to his area of excellence-comedy. Yesterday, Aplus took a shot at Victoria Hammah by writing a well placed comical letter to the former Deputy Minister, asking to be her boyfriend and promising that, he will … Read more
Yesterday, GhanaCelebrities.Com’s sources at Cape Coast hotel informed us that Yvonne Nelson, Kay Elliott and Jimmy Jean-Louis stopped over to pick up some food-takeway, and now we know why they were in Cape Coast.
It looks like the Ghanaians took Jimmy Jean-Louis to see the Cape Coast castle—far from what we thought things were. We just hope the food was GREAT…
I was recently in Central region and I visited both the Cape Coast and Elmina castle—an emotional journey every black person should at least once take. CLICK HERE FOR PICTURES.
Delay is holding a bag—and I want one of you to help me with the identification. When it comes to dresses, she seems to be buying the wrong ones as they mostly look cheap on her.
Kumasi based actor-Big Kwess (real name Kwesi Asmaoah) has been in the news for saying, some Ghanaian movie Directors and Producers sleep with the actresses/actors in exchange for movie roles—a practice no reasonable industry person can deny, except if you are a thick brain FIPAG or Actors’ Guild executive.
There were series of fast developments yesterday through which we saw warning letters issued by Ghana Actors’ Guild and lawyers of the newly formed Actresses’ Association of Ghana requesting Big Kwess to retract his statement or face the consequence.
It seems like the Marfia and Kangaroo way of doing things in FIPAG is back in operation as a letter circulating around indicates that, Big Kwess has been banned for 2 years—and his crime is; for saying the truth.
Well it seems the families who lost relatives in the T.B Joshua church collapse are not planning to let the matter rest. Two relatives of the deceased have informed the BBC they plan to sue T.B Joshua.
And they are not planning to go it alone, calling on other families to join them in their action against the church due to the circumstances leading to the collapse.
T.B Joshua has been telling anyone who would listen that the incident was caused by a hovering aircraft, and that it was an attempt on his life. I believe anyone who has even a peanut for a brain would recognise the explanation for the nonsense that it is and for T.B Joshua to attempt to take the public for granted as he has done he should expect consequences.
After all people died in the collapse, people with families, and this is what you come to tell them after the incident?
Thanduxolo Doro and Mpho Molebatsi are the two South African nationals planning the suit, and they told the BBC it’s not the collapse, so much as what happened after the collapse that is informing their action.
“It’s not that the building collapsed, rather what was done after the collapse” Mr Doro told the BBC
“We saw reports that emergency workers were denied access initially, access that could have saved lives. The actions of the church after the incident are very telling”
Following Kumasi based actor-Kwesi Asamoah’s recent comment, suggesting that, Ghanaian movie Directors and Producers are bonking the actresses/actors in exchange for movie roles, the Actors’ Guild came out to rebuke him—threatening to even ban/punish him if he does not retract his comment.
“Actresses Association of Ghana is in to seek the welfare and integrity of actresses in Kumasi and those in Accra. We won’t take such nonsense from any actor or person who does or say anything that soils the image of women in this chosen field of ours” Mercy Asiedu told GhanaCelebrities.Com.
Has any of the executives of the Ghana Actors’ Guild and this new Actresses’ association ask themselves how some of these actresses/actors who cannot ACT secure for themselves the movie roles? They can’t act, yet they continue to be featured—what is the sense or secret?
Since the Actors’ Guild wants real evidence of the ‘bonk for movie role’ enterprise, I think they have to invite Nikki Samonas who has emphatically stated that, this happens all the thing—and in fact, a film-maker in Ghana asked her to sleep with him before giving her a role.
Since we know more than a lot about Victoria Hammah who made headlines alongside his alleged non-performing boyfriend-Richard Frimpong Dardo—-an unfortunate circumstance any man could possible find himself, GhanaCelebrities.Com decided to find out who the hell is this man who got arrested for allegedly failing to render good back shots.
Interestingly, few days after the Richard Frimpong Dardo and Hammah’s saga, Richard was once again arrested by the Dansoman police in Accra over a $260,000 fraud case. Victoria Hammah is reported to have stormed the station to protest in defence of her lover. Nevertheless, Richard Frimpong-Dardo was detained for close to three hours until his lawyer arrived and stood in as surety for him before he was released.
So we asked; who the hell is this Richard Frimpong-Dardo? And then we got some amazing background info…
Richard Frimpong-Dardo attended Kumasi based all boys school-Prempeh College, all the way from Tema and completed in 1999. He was in Serwaa House…
