Parents in UK Tell School to Cancel Ghanaian Teacher Exchange Because of EBOLA

According to reports; the 87 pupils of Howden-le-Wear Primary School in County Durham were due to welcome the teacher as part of an annual programme with a school in Ghana but the headteacher has been pushed to cancel the arrangements because some parents have threatened to remove their children.

In a statement, the headteacher of the school- Mr. Christopher Baines said: “We have listened carefully to concerns raised by all sections of the school and community and have balanced these with the expert advice we have been given. While we are confident this advice remains sound we feel the best thing to do is to look forward to the visit at a later date.”
