The reigning Ghana Music artiste of the year – Shatta Wale – has over the years been in the news for several reasons.

Recently, he was dragged to court by Events Company, Charter House, and its Chief Executive Officer, Mr Iyiola Ayaode for defamation. Even though the case is still in court, Shatta Wale has allegedly landed himself in fresh trouble.

According to Daily Guide, the self-acclaimed ‘Dancehall King’, brutally assaulted a man he owes. Per the report in the newspaper, the man, who gave his name as Rashid Abu, claimed Shatta Wale owed him an amount of GH₵ 150.

Efforts to collect his money from the musician proved futile. Rashid claimed Shatta Wale even insults him (Rashid) whenever he calls his (Shatta Wale) phone to demand for his money.

Narrating his ordeal to the newspaper, Rashid Abu, declared that Shatta Wale bought outfits from his (Rashid) boutique – Blow Money Fast Boutique – five months ago. Since then, Shatta Wale had refused to pay him the amount.

As reported by the newspaper, Shatta Wale picked Rashid from his shop at Adabraka to his (Shatta Wale) residence at East Legon with the promise of paying the amount he owes. Rashid was later asked to kneel down when they got to Shatta Wale’s house.

According to Rashid, Shatta Wale then began to slap him with a bundle of GH₵ 50 notes.

“When we got to his house, the ‘macho men’ opened the gates and once we got in, Shatta Wale asked me to kneel down and he began slapping me with a bundle of GH₵ 50. I tried to defend myself but his thugs warned me to stop, else they would kill me right there. Bull Dog even told me to do what Shatta would tell me, else I would be severely beaten up”, Rashid narrated.
