Many of us have slammed Sandra Ankobiah for having no professional decency when it comes to what she wears–calling her all sorts of names for the way she dresses.
As a lawyer, we expect her not to dress or behave a certain way—certainly not like the way Christabel Ekeh or Mzbel will dress. But it seems Sandra Ankobiah is not bad after all.
The above photo was shared by a newly-appointed Moldovan judge Maria Cozma, 27. And even though she looks banging, she has been rebuked by her peers for posting the busty shot on social media of herself wearing skimpy swimwear.
This is beyond ridiculous—and the way people seem to be grouping all Africans as having Ebola has become totally offensive, to the extent that some Africans have even lost their jobs in America over this…
In the UK, a security guard who returned from a holiday in Nigeria was shocked to find he had been banned from work because his employer fears he has Ebola.
This comes at a time when Nigeria has been declared as Ebola free by the World Health Organisation.
John Dramani Mahama has made it a habit to make bold pronunciations he and his team have no way or intentions of fulfilling, leading to him looking clueless in retrospect; a situation which has largely contributed to the general belief that this is one of the worst governments in the history of our dear nation.
Some time ago he took to the podium to make one of his many bold calls, calling on us all to patronise made in Ghana goods to help local industries. He went as far as to provide us with the list of things he uses daily which are supposedly made in Ghana.
Then came the refurbishment of parliament, a situation which called for the supply of 600 pieces of furniture for the chamber; 300 tables and 300 chairs- so it’s away to China we go!
The furniture arrived, Parliament was stocked, and then some of the MP’s pointed out the contradiction in the President making all this noise and then Parliament importing furniture from China.
I am not a copyright expert but surely, even those without legal brains can clearly see that a legal case can spring out of an artiste performing the songs of another artiste, without express permission or cover royalties having been paid—especially at concerts where he has taken money from the organizers to perform.
Since this is happening in Ghana, no one may get sued and also, because it is Shatta Wale doing it to Samini’s songs, any attempt by the latter to seek redress in court or to protect his intellectual property from such infringement would possibly be met with all manner of fans’ attack.
But the fact remains that; in law and even when perched against common sense, you cannot take money from an event organizer to perform—and while out there, just decide to perform the song(s) of another artiste without permission or without the event organisers paying the artiste the required fees for the cover. That is a clear violation of the other artiste’s copyright and a slap in the face of the copyright legislation.
Interestingly, Shatta Wale has done this twice or so and no one including MUSIGA or the various bodies which seek to protect the works of Ghanaian artistes has called him to order—or brought to his attention that his actions are in breach of the law.
For the Jackie Appiah fans who have been missing her on the big screens, we have a photo of the star actress putting on display her LV bag—and recently, she seems to be regularly trying new hair styles.
Delay, the only 30 something year old virgin we have in Ghana packed it all in black jumpsuit—and she was not looking bad. Talking about Delay and her virgin bragging right, we should not forget a Ghanaian dancehall aritiste is on record as having chopped Delay’s thing down—and yet she claims to have not been touched.
Check below for photos from Christabel Ekeh, Yvonne Okoro, Eazzy and others…
Even though I’ve visited a lot of countries, the only third world country I have been to is Ghana and as such, I will rely on the accounts of several people that most of the African third world countries are in the same pot with Ghana when it comes to road development.
Over the years, a lot has changed for good in Ghana and the taste of Ghanaians have become more polished and sophisticated.
Ghanaians have a strong desire for everything foreign, even if these things do not sit well with their environment, level of development or cannot be fully enjoyed within the Ghanaian setting.
It would be impossible to control the wants of people based on the fact that the government is unable to satisfy the needed conditions which would be necessary for the people to fully enjoy their wants. But at least, common sense must come to play when you live in Ghana and you decide to spend huge sums of money on something with a range of choice such as a car…
The capital of Ghana-Accra is full of expensive and ‘soft’ cars—a clear indication that some few people are doing better. To some extent, this may be a good sign of progress, a measure which would place some Ghanaians amongst those driving some of the most expensive cars in the world.
It certainly feels good to look around Accra on a hot day and find the latest cars running around, just as you would find in London, Copenhagen or New York. The Black man has also worked hard and to be frank, he deserves to enjoy whatever his pocket can fetch him.
However, when you look at the roads that these cars are being driven on in Accra, London, Copenhagen and New York, you would realize that, the black man in Accra has not consider something important—and not just his pocket, I mean, the ROADS.
It wouldn’t be wrong or a slap in the face of the Ghanaian government to say, Ghana has the worst roads I have ever seen—and considering my introduction, this is in fact the truth. Maybe when I visit Nigeria or any other place I’ve heard has horrendous roads, I will then be able to place Ghana in a slight better position.
The capital city of Ghana is full of deep pot holes and I am not talking about the outskirts, central Accra is equally worse as the remote areas. And this is when you are on main roads which have been tarred. A little drive off the main roads and you will be met with feeder roads, as if you’ve travelled thousands of miles into a village…

Beyonce attended Topshop Topman NYC Flagship opening dinner at Grand Central Terminal last night (November 4).
The world’s most paid woman in music donned a $130 black sequin dress by the high street chain for the dinner. The 33-year-old flaunted her flawless legs in the mini dress.

Even though Elikem has come out to deny chopping down Gloria Lamptey—and has even gone ahead on live TV to propose to Pokello, a woman he claims to be in a serious relationship with, our source close to Gloria says Elikem is still actively in Gloria’s life.
According to our source, Odartey Lamptey’s 45 years old ex-wife who is capable of being Elikem’s mother has been pulling every stunt in the book to keep her relationship with Elikem alive.
Apparently, Gloria is so obsessed with Elikem to the extent that even though Pokello is in the picture, she is not ready to be the loser—and day in and out, she continues to bombard Pokello with threats while treating Elikem to some cash, to get him more glued.
John Dumelo recently got 2 million facebook likes; and the actor/businessman says he is ready to invade the market with his own cosmetic line—though we’ve not heard any deep success story about his previous business entreprises… Anyway, John who was in London for the premiere of Ama K. Abebrese’s Double Cross posted the above photo … Read more
Stories of people committing suicide over love are often a little strange, but more often than not before taking an action as irreversible as taking one’s own life the supposed infidelity has been concretely established.
This must be the first time I have heard of anyone committing suicide over suspicions of infidelity.
Daily Guide reports one Nyatorgu Grumah, a galamsey operator in the Western Region committed suicide over the weekend because he suspected his girlfriend, Abena Gifty, of having an affair.
He subsequently hanged himself using an electrical wire in an uncompleted building, in the township of Wassa Adiembra.
GhanaCelebrities.Com reporter, Osarfo Anthony, sojourned Bolgatanga, in the Upper East of Ghana to follow up on a lead. There, he also had another lead that dog meat is highly patronized by indigenes of Bolgatanga to other flesh-eatables.
In fact, in Bolgatanga, dog meat is patronized more than goat, cattle, and chicken meat as well as fish. Aside that, dog meat is less expensive than cattle meat or any other kind of meat. There is actually a dog meat market where only live dogs are sold or bought – just as we have normal market where tomatoes, pepper, onions, etc. are sold and bought.
When the reporter visited the dog market, he was awe struck – seeing plenty live assembled and hanged dogs with buyers negotiating with dog sellers so they can grab a dog home to prepare some ‘tuozaafi’ and ‘tumbani’ meal.
The prices of the dogs range between GHC 100 – 150. The market was soiled with dog stool – hope you know the stench that comes out of dogs’ fecal matter? However, none of the sellers or buyers held their noses – obviously, their olfactory senses are used to the smell. Some were even seen eating around whilst others slept on mats and benches.
For some of us, that silly incident killed Raquels career which was neatly picking up at the time—and since then, she has been struggling for that big come back.
The truth is, the Ghanaian music industry is not female friendly—and therefore, if a female artiste screws up, bouncing back becomes impossible.
Excuses such as she forgot she was not wearing an underwear—and all manner of absurd statements to redeem the situation worsened things for her.
During a recent interview on E.TV, Raquel who has not given up on music—currently promoting her new single, opened up about what happened and the huge consequence she faced…
She started by saying, “Things happen and people think you did them deliberately”
“Because, these things happen and continue to affect one for a long time. I mean everyone knows what happened to me years back, long story short, That year, I was on every single show and this was the last show of the year, and I decided to work with a new designer, And I was so bent on appearing on stage with that dress but the lights had gone off and she was still working on the dress. It was made of silk and she hadn’t put in the other layers and stuff. Because when an item is silk, you have to put a lining underneath it to prevent people from seeing through it.”
The 34-year-old singer and her husband Tim Witherspoon welcomed their first child, boy on November 4. The newborn child is called Titan Jewell Witherspoon. He was born at 1:30 p.m. PT and weighed 7.5 lbs.
Being a celebrity, especially an African celebrity means you have to pretend a hell lot—and even if you don’t have it or can’t afford it, just squeeze it on…
Many of our so called celebrities have their parents leaving in appalling conditions yet they throw on expensive designer clothes and bags—that is even if they are real. Remember, they have to pretend a lot.
Ghanaian actress-Yvonne Nelson has strong taste buds for high fashion and she does not shy away from letting her fans know she has many of everything, including LV bags and those expensive watches.
But she seems to have had a cash shortage when she visited the United States last week—as she could only afford one black faux fur coat, which she is using to battle the cold weather, everywhere she goes.
The actress rocked the black faux fur coat to the red carpet premiere of a movie she starred in—called Folly, and just a day after the premiere, she was all about town wearing the same faux fur coat. This is really not a celebrity-like and more also, not Yvonne Nelson like.
