PHOTOS + Juliet Ibrahim Foundation Donates Money to 5 Patients Suffering From Chronic Kidney

Today, the Juliet Ibrahim Foundation (JIF), lead by Juliet Ibrahim, her mum; Mrs. Sarah Elizabeth Ibrahim and her sister Sonia Ibrahim made time out to put smiles on the faces of 5 patients with hronic liver ailments by donating funds raised from the annual JIF Charity Halloween party held in Accra on the 1st November.

Some of the beneficiaries have either one damaged kidney or two and go through gruelling dialysis sessions 3 to 2 times a week and may do that for the rest of their lives till they can get donors and raise funds for kidney transplant someday.

Whilst having a kidney transplant remains a dream for most of them , JIF still tries in their own little way to lend helping hands to people suffering from kidney related ailments by creating awareness through public service campaign, community and online education and also by payiny for dialysis treatments.

We sometimes (actually most of the time) love to think we’re smart and take some decisions/adopt a certain lifestyle. If the outcome of our smartness (stupidity) is not what we expected, we blame the devil for being the cause of our downfall. Since the devil, according to the bible, came to kill, steal and destroy – we’ve taken delight in living irresponsibly and comfortably blaming the devil for every self-created problem in our lives. The thief/adulterer/destroyer blames the devil when caught because the devil is not around to defend him/her/itself.

No matter what/whom we believe in, there are natural laws in/of life and its accompanying consequences when we breach or violate them – the law of cause and effect. You can ignore and evade that natural law with ease but its consequences; you can’t pray and fast your way out. Blaming the devil and sowing big seeds will not do either.

We blame the devil for everything. I have blamed the devil over and over again until I realised I was not helping myself in anyway because most of my ‘problems’ were self-created and I used the devil as an escape route. The blame game didn’t solve my problems in no matter how hard I tried injecting (non)sense into poor choices and decisions I took

OFFICIAL: Avram Grant is New Black Stars Coach

Israeli Avram Grant has been confirmed as the new head coach of the Black Stars, bringing to an end the protracted search for former coach Kwesi Appiah’s replacement.

Grant and the FA have been in talks for the past two weeks, and all issues had been settled pending the approval of the Sports ministry.

That was taken care of in a meeting between the two parties earlier this week, clearing the way for the appointment of the 59 year old former Chelsea boss.

The GFA announced the official decision at a press conference earlier today, with the Israeli expected to commence his 3 year contract on December 1, with an initial target of winning the 2017 African Cup of Nations.

Before You Propose to the Guy – Prepare For the Outcome

Some women are go-getters and they believe what a man can do, they can do best- the power of equality. It’s therefore not a big deal for a woman to propose marriage to a man anymore. After months and years of hints-dropping and giving ultimatums here and there, they take the bull by the horns and propose marriage to the man.

Times have changed and some are moving with the times. Others also prefer the men to propose or go through the ‘traditional’ route of asking their hand in marriage. Nothing in life is guaranteed so preparation of the mind and acceptance of outcome should be on the menu.

I don’t see anything wrong with a lady proposing (I won’t do it though). Some claim proposing to a man reeks desperation – which I disagree because there’s no harm in trying (your luck). You cannot be fed if your mouth is closed.

My only problem with ladies I know who took the bold step of proposing is they didn’t prepare for the answer they received which was a no/not now. They only prepared for a yes with the wedding venue and wedding gown in mind. They didn’t prepare because they were expecting a positive outcome– maybe.

Born Mildred Ashong in August, 1986, Eazzy shot to fame in 2009 under Lynxx Entertainment—and a few years later, she made a jump from the record label.
