Injunction Against The GFA Lifted: Ghana League to Commence January 7

Ghana league
Ghana league

It looks like the Ghana Premier League is coming back soon as the court case holding up its resumption has been resolved, albeit temporarily.

Before every league season begins, the GFA holds its annual congress to discuss all issues arising from the old season and pertaining to the upcoming one. The Accra Human Rights Court hearing the case ruled that the injunction against congress be lifted, thus freeing the GFA to begin preparations for the new season.

The FA has thus announced December 30 as the day for this year’s congress, with the league to commence a week later on January 7, 2015; as there’s barely any time to waste.
