Empty Prosperous New Year Messages | New Year Will Bring You Something GREAT Only If You Change Your Mindset

Happy New Year
Happy New Year

From TopVincent.Com

Out of self pity and the desire to achieve a lot without cultivating the needed conditions have given birth to this conception of ‘new year and prosperity’—I think.

The fact that each new year, people wish a lot of positive things into their lives and send out messages (mostly copied and pasted) to others prophesying greatness into their lives have not really yielded the needed greatness cannot stop this culture. And this is because, most human beings want things without working for them—or do not want to change anything but they expect different results with the same input.

It is quite a joke to think that, the mere fact that we have restarted the counting of the months means you are going to become a millionaire without changing anything about yourself or your mind.

Perhaps, it’s time someone is able to look into our faces and tell us the truth; nothing will change in your life in 2015 if you do not make a conscious effort to change your mindset and attitude. The only guaranteed change a New Year brings is; you become a year older per our way of measurement.

Unless you have some pending inheritance which you can get access to only by virtue of turning a certain age (time measurement), there is no point in being excited about some dreams you are not ready to work hard for.

If you were 25 years old last year and there is a million dollar sitting in a bank account for your to access when you turn 26, then you have every right to be joyful—but to simply shout and jump because a lot of greatness is coming your way in the new year is pretty absurd.

Chris-Vincent is BIASED | Of Course I am Biased and So Are You…

Chris-Vincent

I got into an argument with comedian A-Plus today on facebook and he said I am BIASED on my blog-GhanaCelebrities.Com. I am shocked that he is even mentioning it considering the fact that everyone is biased—and also, considering the fact that I have stated in clear English that I am biased on my blog.

There is this illusion of objectivity hovering around but in reality objectivity is an illusion, philosophy will tell you that.

I wouldn’t read an article by any human being or robot (created by a human) and expect the article not to be biased. Even when I write my academic papers which is supposed to be objective; I am biased and what every scholar does this, you look for other scholars who share your opinions to back up your paper (bias article)—and that is what we call the ‘illusionary academic objectivity’.

Of course there will be other scholars opposing your argument, you may choose to state their side or ignore them. Even if you state the two sides of the arguments, it still doesn’t mean your paper is not biased in reality—it means it has two bias sets of opinions which have come to mean objectivity in scholarly writing. The truth is, the two sets of arguments by the scholars have their bias built in them already.

There should not be debate about bias in this world among human beings because we are all biased—and our bias spring out of a lot of things such as our experiences, our religion, our education, our morals, our relationships, our interest and our goals.

I wouldn’t have an issue with arguments about obvious and subtle bias—but there should not be arguments about the existence of bias at all, because it is everywhere and no where.

BBC news articles are biased—the writer’s bias will be in there and even the corporation’s bias will be in there. Just take how the BBC will report on Russia as compared to America into consideration? How Fox News will report on Democrats as compared to Republicans. How Ghana’s radio Gold will report on NDC as compared to NPP…

If you read blog articles by Russell Brand or Peter Hitchens, you will easily spot their bias—influenced by their right or left wing political affiliations or associations.

There is a reason why I don’t read CNN; because I am not in line with their bias—I go to places like RT where their bias sits well with mine.

So let’s get this right; everyone is bias, every writer is bias, every website is bias, every media house is bias—and more importantly, every reader is bias including you.
