First, I thought lack of education made people stupid—but the current situation in Ghana where the educated ones are not smarter than the illiterates rebuts my assumption.
To be frank, if you have women thinking and talking like the above woman, then we surely have a long way to go as Ghanaians.
It’s really a pity that most Ghanaians seem not to be able to use their heads—another reason why our politicians take us for fools.
Do you think this woman can judge correctly which political party to vote for based on merit considering her dumb analysis of the KKD’s alleged rape case?
And we have millions of such women in Ghana—I would be ashamed if she was my mother or family member thinking like a cartoon.
We are well-trained in a country like Ghana. Most families instil cherished morals in their children from a very young age. And someone like Mr. Darkwah would be no exception. On this sound premise, it is rather unfortunate the turn of events in the last few days. Tragically, a case like this threatens to ruin a reputation that has taken years to forge in the searing anvil of life.
It is appropriate to plead using this medium that we do not become a jury when the case is yet to be decided. The firm presumption has to be that he is innocent until proven guilty. After all, a charge is not the same as a sentence.
Nonetheless, thinking about the issue, one has to wonder what exactly went on, or perhaps is going on. As some will strongly argue with or without deference, a man can date any girl who is not a minor, and is of sound mind. That said, when people are in the limelight, we usually expect them to act in a certain way. This is not the law, but more of societal custom and expectation. Thus, the age gap between accused and complainant itself raises questions, particularly when the complainant could well be his daughter. But on a more serious note, one has to pause and ask a few more probing and trenchant questions in the light of the public information I have to bring to your attention.
Below is a verifiable Facebook note written by The Finest as he likes to be referred to. I encourage you to peruse through and hear what the man has to say. The note is dated (13 June 2014 at 09:32). Most likely, you may conclude that if he had followed his own stated morals as obvious from this note, then things would have turned out quite differently. And if he indeed followed his morals, then he can be confident of escaping from this septic morass he is stuck in. But that is for you to read and decide whether you agree or otherwise.
The truth is; most Ghanaians hate to hear the truth—and this means, those who can say the truth do not bother saying it or become truth oppressors themselves.
Since Kwesi Kyei Darkwah’s rape allegation popped up, over 10 Ghanaian women have come out alleging that, he has se*ually assaulted or rape them in the past—some claimed they were as young as 11 and 14 years.
We cannot for a fact know if these women are telling us the truth—but the probability that they are all lying and one man is the one telling us the truth is non-existing.

Let’s get this off the way before we get into the actual discussion…
When I was an undergraduate student, I met a girl from Barbados and she was a lot more into me than I was. In fact, she asked for my number after one of our law seminars under the pretence of wanting to be my study mate.
She was a beautiful girl—and very interesting. Our regular hangouts at the University led to us kissing many times and from there, we started having lunch together—and went to the cinema so many times.
Our cinema trips were like romantic getaways; we did a hell lot that romantically kissing does not even come close to it—we got really intimate.
One day, she asked to visit me and we decided that; after school I would take her home and then the next day we would come to lectures together. So she was sleeping over—and she happily packed her bag for this sleepover.
By that time, I had kissed this young woman more than 50 times, I had touched her breast uncountable times and anytime she was driving, one of my hands found a permanent position on her thighs.
So I knew I was going to get laid that night—in fact, I thought it was going to happen that night and that was a guarantee.
That evening, we had some pizza and watched a movie together. And then when I was taking a shower, she walked into the bathroom. She asked if she could come in though—and I said YES.

I was really shocked, how can this girl be holding my ‘stick’ and my fingers down there—and yet telling me she does not want to have ‘seks’.
At that stage, all she had on was her panty and her bra—I believe I could have pushed to have seks with her without her consent but that would have been rape.
