Kwesi Kyei Darkwah (KKD) was in Court this morning still in relation to his alleged rape charges—and when he thought everything was working to his favour, the State has insisted on prosecuting him for rape even though the alleged victim has written a letter to the Attorney General to express her dis-interest in case which many thought would have led to the case being dropped.
In Court today, Wilberforce Asare mentioned that the State Prosecutors are not discontinuing the trial and as such requested for one week to enable them serve KKD with a bill of indictment and summary of evidence for trial to commence…
Of course this came as a shock to KKD and his legal team—as well as his many friends who are pulling all strings to ensure that this case does not see the light of trial.
And guess who represented KKD in court today? Johanna Awotwe and the almighty Maurice Ampaw were his lawyers.
Let’s hope no one blames Maurice Ampaw for this new twist…
This would not go anywhere! May even help KKD in the end. The state would just follow through with the legal process and throw the case out of court for lack of evidence. For even if at a subpoena, Effe can decide not to talk….its her right. So free tonga or not, we would never get to know. In the end, there was a tonga at a washroom at Rengeant, between KKD 49 (officially) and Effe, 19!

The state does not have a strong case against him if they don’t have the key witness and the victim on their side. They might have some substantial evidence, but that wouldn’t be strong enough to convict. Semen present in the vaginal area with little or no bruising screams consensual and not rape. KKD can get out of this. He needs a good defense mechanism and also a good PR to fix his brand and image. That said KKD is a DOUCHE BAG. I do not like him. He has been arrogant and his family threatening people who have an opinion on this issue makes him unlikeable and disgusting.
But I will give the state an A for Effort. It is assuring to know that the law still works somewhat. This is a validation that those who think they are above the law are delusional.
In years to come, when I hear on the news that his Daughter has been sexually abused, I would say to myself, “Karma is a bitch with delivery service”

Great opportunity for KKD to clear his name. That is if his lawyers are any good. Without Effe’s testimony, a good lawyer can put up a case that clears him. Her absence alone can be argued it the proof that the sex was consensual. What is the state going to base their evidence on? We all know Ghana’s CSI is like Nigerian CSI. Can’t even catch a rat. I think like everything else in Ghana, this is a face saving exercise. The fact remains, Effe gave up her punani to a local champion in a hotel washroom. She was embarrassed after the cousin found out that she gave it up so quickly while she was nearby in the living room. After having been called a slut by the cousin and in order to save face she told her cousin KKD raped her. The cousin then told the boyfriend who reported it to the police. It thus explains why there was no struggle, no bruises and no screams.
