Daily 2015 AFCON Round-Up: 1-1 Draw Sends Both Tunisia And DR Congo Through

Jeremy Bokila’s 65th minute equaliser for DR Congo against Tunisia, coupled with either side’s inability to score in the other group game meant the two sides involved in the 1-1 draw scraped through to the second round.

Hosts Equatorial Guinea joined Congo to make the quarter finals in the first final round of fixtures, and eager to join them where the four sides in Group B, all of whom had a chance of being one of the two to progress.

Champions in 2012, Zambia had had a particularly poor opening to the tournament, but entered the final group game knowing a victory might probably be enough to send them through.

And the 1-1 draw in the other game meant even a 1-0 would have sufficed, but a dour game saw both sides unable to muster the quality needed to overpower the other.

Zambia had two great chances late on to snatch the unlikely victory, but Kangwa and Mulenga both fluffed their lines, ending the game in a goalless stalemate and eliminating both sides.

For her 40th birthday, Yasmin Eleby chose to gift herself with the elaborate wedding she’d always dreamed of—because there was no man in her life to give her that. And at the wedding, instead of the usual vowing ‘to a man’, she vowed to love, forgive and honor herself…

This shocking ceremony was held at the Houston Museum of African American Culture on Saturday, January 3 and Yasmin Eleby had 10 bridesmaids—-three ministers helped with the officiating of the ceremony. According to reports, Yasmin was walked down the aisle and given away to herself by her mother.

Yasmin wrote on her Facebook after the ceremony, “I really don’t have the words to adequately describe the plethora of emotions that I’ve felt over the past few weeks, particularly on Saturday, January 3rd. I was overwhelmed with the outpouring of love and support that was shown to me during my celebration of love and life. Shana, Sandra, James, Deidra, Rennette, Brandy, Ben, and Darrell: every word that was said and sung was absolutely perfect for the occasion.

Have you wondered why Kanye West never puts up a smile? The rapper has explained why smiling has never been part of him—and his revelation is pretty interesting.

According Kanye, 37, not smiling makes him smile—and when you see old paintings in a castle the people on them are not smiling, sort of comparing himself to such paintings.

Kanye made this revelation at the Fashion Los Angeles Awards, saying: “Back when I was working on Yeezus, I saw this book from the 1800s and it was velvet-covered with brass and everything. I looked at all these people’s photos, and they look so real and their outfits were incredible and they weren’t smiling.

WTF: Mortuary Man in Ghana Says He Chops Down the Dead Beautiful Women ALL THE TIME

I have heard this from several upset men who I have turned down but I did not actually believe it happens in real life…

I have had about 4 men tell me in the past that, “you think you are beautiful so you are being difficult, when you die, a mere mortuary man will f**k you for free”. I did not believe this…

But it seems this actually happens since a Ghanaian mortuary man who has been working at the mortuary for about 15 years says, he chops down beautiful dead women all the time–and he is not even ashamed of it.

Apparently, whenever he sees a woman walking about boastfully because she is beautiful, he just says to himself; ‘ ‘you will die oneday and become mine at the mortuary for free’.

OMG! Sleeping with dead women? This is pretty disgusting and pure evil…

According to Rev. Owusu Bempah, it’s because of politics (and money) that Duncan Williams has turned against him. He said “Duncan Williams has turned against me because of politics, although he was the very person who laid hands on me. But when I send my tithes to him, he receives them. I have stopped going to him since he came out to attack me and question my credibility because I had given a prophecy that did not favour President Mahama and the National Democratic Congress.

“The Archbishop came out to question my calling but when I go to his house, he sends me to his bedroom and we sit on his bed and have discussions and when he sees me, he calls me ‘Prophet’. He is not my spiritual father. But he was the one who laid hands on me. That ordination was to have been done by Eastwood Anaba. Salifu Amoako was ordained with me on that day.”

The Ugliness in Deep-Seated Anger And Holding On to Past Hurts…

You are hurt! You’re angry! It is allowed and you can stay hurt and angry forever but it is not recommended. Excessive anger affects our health- socially, psychologically and mentally. There are people who have made anger and bitterness their middle name.

They’ve carried over their anger from childhood throughout into their adult life (those people never smile, you can crack all the jokes in this world but it never pushes them). That is the deep-seated anger they’ve harboured which is not good for the soul, it’s certainly not good for the mind, and it has greatly affected their belief system which has major knock-on effect.

While you feel you have the right to remain hurt and extremely angry, it’s also very important to remember that it’s not the fault of the person who you believe has wronged you and holding on to it and the effects of it are yours to own. Some people have left a trail of hurts on each and every one they’ve crossed path with and holding on to the hurt of this person is not worth a pinch of salt because that is who they are. Sometimes they are not even aware they have hurt or caused you pain because they leave bad impressions and bad footprints wherever they go.
