I actually have so many similar questions for God, if I ever do meet him. But I’m not a celebrity so my little rants never make the news.
Stephen Fry, though, is a well known actor and an outspoken atheist. He was on the latest season of 24, and has also appeared in the popular crime series Bones.
Speaking on an Irish TV programme ‘The Meaning of Life’, Fry raised many questions about God, his nature if he did exist and why anyone should create such a wicked world.
He was asked what he would say if he got to heaven’s famed white gates, and that is when he made his comments.
“I think I’d say, ‘Bone cancer in children? “How dare you. How dare you create a world in which there is such misery that is not our fault? It’s not right. It’s utterly, utterly evil”
When asked if he wouldn’t like to get into heaven, he revealed he’d rather not enter a place based on the terms of a ‘capricious, mean-minded, stupid God’
“Why should I respect a capricious, mean-minded, stupid God who creates a world that is so full of injustice and pain?”
“Because the god that created this universe, if it was created by God, is quite clearly a maniac…utter maniac, totally selfish. Totally,”
“We have to spend our life on our knees thanking him? What kind of god would do that? Yes, the world is very splendid, but it also has in it insect whose whole life cycle is to burrow into the eyes of children and make them blind. They eat outwards from the eyes. Why? Why did you do that to us?
“You could easily have made a creation in which that didn’t exist. It is simply not acceptable.”
“The moment you banish him, your life becomes simpler, purer, cleaner, more worth living, in my opinion,” he said.

I am not God but I cannot help but realise à flawed thought in Fry’s speech: that God created à wicked world. The wickedness that exists today came from thé disobedience man exhibited. Sin of anything nature is abhored by God. It is simply in his make up to detest Sin. Therefore that one act of disobedience forced God to give man thé choice to disobey or to find fulfilment in Him. The world become wicked when man allowed thé devil to influence his action. God looks on helplessly as we struggle and unless we accept his power to intervene, hé can do nothing about our situation. We, as humans have absolute power to change thé world by what we choose to do and how we choose to manage our affairs.
wow, well said. Its not God, people should go back to the roots and study what happened in the garden of Eden and stop blaming God. God didnt creat us to be like roboter. He has given us the choice to choose Him or against Him. This man should look for the causes of cancer and tumor, if parents choose to drink, smoke, eat unhealthy foods n are constantly under stress while pregnant, then nobody should blam God for defect DNA- Chromosome or blame God for a sick child. Lack of knowledge my people perish. We will perish till we seek God and seek knowledge and wisdom, if not He cant help us.The choice is ours . Hosea 4:6-7

Good very good,what make me laught is that people think their opinions about God is important or will change something to God nature.Love him,hate him this is your business God was there well before you and will continue to be there when you leave.You said there is no God,and whenever something bad happens you blame God for everything why? Atheis are just a bunch of hypocrits,beside is God the one who told us to have this irresponsable life style?(smoking,wars,genetically modified organism,forests destructions,and so on and so for) we created our own problems and when the consequences come we deny the responsablility and blame it on God. I suggest this actors to have a rethink if the children are ill today it’s the outcomes of human being irresponsable life style leave God alone.
Atheism the belief that there was nothing and nothing happened to nothing and then nothing magically exploded for no apparent reason,creating everything and then a bunch of everything magically rearranged itself for no reason whatsoever into self replicating bits which turned into dinosaurs.Crap crap crap
Who told you that? Let’s follow your thesis that everything has creator and see where that takes us. Who created your god? And who created the being that created your god. Do so a couple of times and you’ll arrive that nothing created nothing which created nothing. The difference between you and an atheist is that an atheist will tell you he doesn’t know and that they are still taking in evidence. You on the other hand is absolute in your belief that there is a creator even though you don’t have anything to back that up.
There are two explanations. The first being he doesn’t exist. And the second being even if he does exist, he doesn’t behave or care about what humans think or do. Either way can explain why the world is the way it is. The believers will stretch and contort their minds trying to find something that makes sense but they can’t. So in the end they’ll resort to fables and fantasies. The idea that a loving god will create a human being and allow him to kill millions of his creation is absurd in any sense of the word. Yet an African mind, already plowed and watered with superstition is ready to be planted with another superstition without questions. The book they claim is the guide is filled tons of contradictions, discrepancies and misinformation. It can only be made sense off when you jettison all common sense and in it place fill it with space. If the world was indeed created by god, then it proves that he’s an imperfect being. Prone to tirades, wickedness and dastardly deeds.
Wow…..honestly after Adam sinned, that opened the gate for all types of evil to come about. And we as human beings keep sinning but a newborn baby should not be accountable for their parents sin. But I honestly do not know why these things happen.
