Black Stars Reach AFCON Final With Comfortable Win Over Host Equatorial Guinea A in Game Marred By Fan Trouble

The African Cup of Nations semi finals continued with the Stars taking on the host, and the billed tough game turned out to be a stroll in the park for a super charged Stars’ team.

Whilst the game itself was a good show from the Stars, crowd trouble towards the end lengthened the game by over half an hour as officials and police fought to restore order within the stadium.

Skipper Asamoah Gyan failed to make the starting line-up after picking up a knock in the final minutes against Guinea, Jordan Ayew was roped in to replace the Al-Ain forward.

The host had eliminated Tunisia in the previous round, and a wave of momentum seemed to be carrying them to an inevitable final slot; the only obstacle Ghana’s Black Stars.

Football is just a game and FIFA has so many rules headed by their fair play policy—but what we say today in the stadium at Equatorial Guinea defeats everything sensible human beings stand for and to be frank, these things make you feel so ashamed being an African.

Must the host country always win by all means? To be fair, the players of Equatorial Guinea stayed level-headed and well composed but the supporters who sort of present the general population really ditched every bit of human decency—once again, earning Africa a bad press.

This is pretty sad but it seems it’s time to say Goodbye to Bobbi Kristina—and indeed, family and friends have started doing so.

According to reports, there’s nothing more doctors can do for Bobbi Kristina — and they’ve told Bobby Brown it’s time to withdraw life support …

“Family sources tell us the decision is now in Brown’s hands — but we’re told he’s refusing to make the painful choice today, and instead wants to wait until after the weekend” as today is Bobby’s birthday, TMZ wrote.

Actually, even though Bobby Brown is said to have been hopeful as someone in his extended family battled out of a coma after 8 days, it seems he has realized it’s not happening for Kristina and making the final decision has become difficult.

With few hours for Ghana to take up Equatorial Guinea in the important semi-finals game of 2015 AFCON, we are still not sure if Asamoah Gyan will be playing or not…

Asamoah Gyan has reportedly missed two training sessions so far but that is not conclusive that he will not leading the Black Stars tonight—even if he doesn’t, Ghana will still have to push to win this match.

Whatever it is, Equatorial Guinea is not going to be pushovers, particularly at home; and referees so far have not shown any hesitation in occasionally coming to their aid. The Black Stars have this jinx to contend with as well as the potential absence of the captain of the side.

The Black Stars have certainly shown enough to warrant hope that they can surmount this hurdle.

TV presenter/Lawyer-Sandra Ankobiah sat down with Deloris Frimpong Manso (Delay) and the conversation was pretty interesting—especially on Yvonne Nelson and her expensive lifestyle.

And for those wondering if Sandra Ankobiah is practising law or not, she had a lot to say—mentioning that, litigation in Ghana is not attractive to her and as such even though she is a lawyer, that is not something she does…

She also talked about her expensive lifestyle—the many travels; and the issue of cocaine came in. She debunked allegations of pushing drugs…

The State is still on Kwesi Kyei Darkwah’s alleged rape case—hearing resumed today but after a short back and forth, the case was adjourned to February 15.

KKD failed to appear in Court and according to reports, his absence nearly led to a warrant of arrest being issued for his arrest—but the Court did not proceed with the order after KKD’s lawyers pleaded that their client could not attend the hearing because he was admitted to the hospital.

We didn’t know she can act—but considering the many ridiculous actors we have on our screens, she surely must be thinking she can do it too.

Two Lovers Put to Death by Generator Fumes in Dansoman | All Because of ‘Dumsor’

Almost everybody in Ghana have had their fair share of problems that come along with the current incessant load shedding, popularly known as ‘Dumsor’. For others, their perishable foods in their refrigerators go waste whenever there is power cut. Others too have had their electrical gadgets like televisions spoilt. But the unfortunate thing that happened to two lovers because of power cut was none of the above. For them, it resulted in death.

32-year-old Frank Arhin – a second hand footwear dealer – and his 30-year-old fiancée Sandra Boateng were found dead in their single room in Dansoman yesterday, Daily Graphic reports.

According to the report, it is suspected that the two lovers died as a result of been suffocated by the fumes from their generator which was placed in a sofa next to their bed (photo above).
