Ghana’s Female Human Right Activist Nana Oye Lithur Finally Has Been Vindicated For Fighting For Gays Right | Another Alleged Gay Brutally Lynched in Modern Day Ghana

blank
Nana Oye Lithur

Ghana’s Minister for Gender, Children and Social Protection, Nana Oye Lithur, has for over a decade now, vowed to protect the human rights of homosexuals or gays in Ghana – TODAY, she stands VINDICATED for doing so.

This woman has explained in plain words that “I have not said anywhere that I will promote homosexuality. What I have said is to protect the human rights of everybody. I pledge to protect the rights of homosexuals.”

Unfortunately, this simple stance of her which simply means, she does not support homosexuality but would fight for their rights at all time – so that an employer will not turn an applicant’s job application down simply because the fellow is gay or some hooligans would pounce on a gay or someone suspected to be gay and lynch the fellow.

She has always come under attack with regards to her stance on the issue of homosexuality. Even when the current president nominated her to be vetted and appointed to the Ministry of Gender, Children and Social Protection, it became a national debate – where some said the president is forcing a demon on Ghanaians who will come and promote homosexuals or help pass a law to legalize homosexuality.

Appearing before Parliament’s Appointment, Nana Oye Lithur indicated that the issue of whether Ghana should accept homosexuality was a societal issue, which ought to be debated and decided upon by the society. This woman has been consistent on human rights protection – of which gays rights are part.

Today, I wish to state that, Nana Oye Lithur has been vindicated. Why? News broke out that, Students of St Paul’s Senior High School in Denu in the Volta Region, were engaged in riots on Friday night that led to the death of one student, as police had to be called in to handle the situation.

Insanity or Stupidity? | Ghana’s Government Spent 6 Million Dollars on AFCON When Final Prize Money is 1.5 Million Dollars…

Ghana Black Stars
Ghana Black Stars

Let’s for a minute forget the fact that we do not have electricity in Ghana and pretend everything is alright—even that, which reasonable person would invest 6 million dollars into any enterprise which he would gain 1.5 million dollars should things go as planned?

This is exactly what Ghana’s government did—the Government has revealed that a total of $5.717.869 was spent on Ghana’s preparation and participation in the 2015 African Cup of Nations (AFCON) tournament in Equatorial Guinea.

Note that the 16 finalists of this year’s AFCON in Equatorial Guinea were given a total of 10 million dollars with the eventual winner taking home earning $1.5 million.

So even if we had won the cup; we would have taken $1.5 million home—and yet, we decided to second about 6 million dollars to chase it.

If this is not insanity at the highest level, then it’s surely wickedness or both. Why are our leaders doing this to us?

Woman Kills Herself Because She Was Approaching Thirty And Was Childless And Unmarried

Rachel Gow
Rachel Gow

There is certainly a lot of pressure of ladies to conform to the expectations society places on them- see Gifty Anti: but this British lady took it to the extreme when she took her life.

Her reason, having gotten to the ripe old age of 30, without being married or having had kids, according to the Telegraph.

Rachel Gowe, 29, drank poison at her home in Haslingden, Lancashire. An inquest into her death heard she felt troubled she was approaching thirty and had been unable to get married or have kids. She was worried other members of her family were doing better than her and that her boyfriend would leave her.

It’s Happening Tomorrow | Shirley Frimpong-Manso’s Latest Movie-GREY DAWN Starts Showing At the SilverBird Cinemas

httpv://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fwcBdd6Ci-M

The timing is perfect—it’s a Friday and a day before Valentine…

Director-Shirley Frimpong Manso’s latest movie-GREY DAWN starring Bimbo Manuel, Sika Osei, Funlola Aofiyebi-Raimi, Marlon Mave and others will start showing tomorrow Friday-13th Februaury, 2015 at the SilverBird Cinemas (Accra Mall & Weija-7pm and 9pm)—and it will show on Valentine’s Day too.

If you are looking for that perfect treat for your partner, who wouldn’t love to see a new Shirley Frimpong-Manso’s movie? Take that special person to see it and after that, don’t forget to thank me when you see that beautiful smile on his or her face.

As I mentioned in my REVIEW, the movie “takes a big shot at interesting but contrasting human endeavours; politics, family, genuine relationships and illicit affair.”

“Contrary to what the trailer may cast into your mind, ‘Grey Dawn’ is not necessary a political movie—it’s that movie which revolves around conflicting human values; creating a deep ‘moral maze’.

A man must love and protect his family, stand by his family through difficult times but does this mean the man must let go his conscience and everything he deems as virtuous or honourable when the protection of his family’s interest conflicts with his standing conscience?”

The storyline is brilliant—so is the acting and the quality of the production…

Gifty Anti, 45, Says She is Not in A Hurry to MARRY + MORE

Gifty Anti
Gifty Anti

Renowned Ghanaian TV personality-Gifty Anti, 45, has stated that even at her age she is not in a hurry to marry—despite having met the right man.

This may come as a shock to many Ghanaian women—considering the fact that, marriage continues to hold a high position as a source of a woman’s dignity in our society.

Gifty Anti is reported to have told Graphic Showbiz that, “I don’t hate men and I’m not against marriage. Besides, it is not the woman who decides but the man. The woman can only drop hints but the final decision depends on the man and what he wants. I think I will marry when my man is ready but if not, I don’t think I’m so desperate for it”.

She also talked about how family has been pressuring her to get married—forgetting that God’s time is the best.

Reporting of Negative Stories By Ghanaian Journalists & Bloggers Kill Ghanaian Artists’ Career Says Kaaki’s Manager | What About Rihanna, Chris Brown, Beyonce, Kanye West & the Others?

Kaaki
Kaaki

First of all, I would advise rising dancehall artiste-Kaaki to consider looking for a new manager—because Jam Master Jay seems to know little about artiste management or lacks the needed international exposure on the subject matter.

According to various online reports, Jam Master Jay-a Ghanaian sound engineer who doubles as the manager of Kaaki stated on Starr Fm that, the manner in which Ghanaian journalists and bloggers report or sought after negative stories on Ghanaian artistes kills the latter’s career—and he even cited Raquel as an example.

There’s no logical correlation whatsoever between the reporting of negative stories about an artiste and career stagnation or death; but surely there is a clear relationship between non hard work and lack of career growth.

So that you would realize the ridiculousness of Jam Master Jay’s assertion, think about how many negative stories (some factual, many false) that the western media (both online and offline) throw out each day about leading world artistes like Rihanna, Beyonce, Chris Brown, Kanye West and the others…

The question is; are their careers dead? In fact, if anything at all, these people continue to get better and stronger—and their careers continue to flourish in the face of all the negativity.

I have for many years been confused about what some people like Jam Master Jay term as negative stories—because, if Raquel decides not to wear a ‘dross’, following which she puts her entire coochie on display; what is a journalist or blogger’s crime of negativity if he or she reports or takes interest in this occurrence?
