Mzbel Had A Stint With HARE KRSNA MOVEMENT | Perhaps Why She Does Not Believe In Jesus Christ – But She Quit Because She Could Not Become A VEGETARIAN

After watching the video in which Mzbel is positing that she does not believe in Jesus Christ, I remember an interview I had with her in 2012 at Top Radio.

I had heard from the devotees of the Hare Krsna Movement that Mzbel used to come to their temple to worship – though I go there too, never did I see her there so one lucky Saturday, Mzbel came on Top Radio’s then entertainment program, Top Showbiz, for a promotional interview.

I used the opportunity to ask her if indeed she had stint with the Hare Krsna Movement and she confirmed “yes I did. I used to go there. I love their doctrine. I read their books and enjoy the philosophy. It’s very deep. Very transcendental.”

Asked why she quit, she said, “Yeah, I quit because I could not meet one of their basic regulative principles – vegetarianism. I can’t stop meat eating (Laughed). I can’t! How do you guys eat? No meat, fish or egg eating (giggled). Its not easy oo!

“So though I love the teachings and read the books, I could not join fully due to the vegetarianism bit of the group.” She however did not disclose if she will go back to the group or not but from what she shared, it means she still reads their scriptures/books.

The singer was on ‘Restoration with Stacy’, where she made the declaration that left the host flabbergasted. According to her, she does not believe in the man mooted to be the founder of Christianity, as according to her research he might have been made up.

In response to ‘do you believe in Jesus Christ?’ she responded…“I don’t want to offend anybody. I used to believe in it but I did my own research and I think it was made up. I might be wrong. The same story 5,000 years ago happened in Egypt”

She’s referring to the story of Horus, the ancient Egyptian god whose story bears uncanny parallels to the Jesus story. And if Jesus’ story is circa 2,000 years old, he must have been made up, modelled on the Horus story.

“Horus mother was a virgin, before Horus was born an angel came and (spoke) to Horus’ mother. He did miracles at the age of 12, he had disciples”

In answer to the question that the Old Testament, which she believes in, prophesied Jesus’ coming; she agreed there was a prophecy about a messiah- but how do you know Jesus Christ is that messiah?

To those who are insulting her for saying she does not believe in Jesus Christ, kindly shut up and respect her faith – we can’t all believe in one thing in this world. Until then….MOTWUM!!
