It may have taken Dr. Mensa Otabil a lot to have made this pronouncement but it’s true—Ghana has become a nation of disappointment and it gets worse with each day passing by…

For many Ghanaians, there is no more hope left and even the Chinese with quick-fix abilities cannot take Ghana out of this predicament.

Known for his sharp comments as well as his excellent motivational messages, the Founder of the International Central Gospel Church (ICGC) Dr Mensa Otabil has stated that Ghana has become a country of disappointment.

Mensa Otabil made this comment at this year’s springboard national convocation in Accra, saying, “For most people of my age, we have always had hope of greatness for our country, but unfortunately the older we get the more that hope gets dimmed.”

He added, “When I was young I believed Ghana will be great, as I get older I pray Ghana will be great, I pray so because we keep disappointing ourselves.

“We disappoint ourselves. We have the great opportunities and we disappoint ourselves: we had gold we disappointed ourselves; we had cocoa we disappointed ourselves; we have oil, we are disappointing ourselves,” Reports StarrFm.

In a related news, Ghanaian actress-Yvonne Nelson also recently took to social media to say; our leaders have disappointed us—confirming that, the hardship is being felt at all levels.

Ghanaians have lived on hope for many years but today, there is no sign of things even getting better—therefore looking at any sort of hope has become an illusion.

Perhaps, the gods are upset with us!
