On March 12, 2015, Ghanaian actress, Juliet Ibrahim engaged friends, family and her crew on a walk through the major streets of Ghana’s capital Accra to commemorate the World Kidney Day and to join in the global health awareness campaign which is focusing on the importance of the kidneys and reducing the frequency and impact of kidney disease and its associated health problems.

The humanitarian is the founder of the Juliet Ibrahim Foundation; a nonprofit, nonpartisan organization focused on creating awareness on kidney cancer, malaria, HIV AIDS, Ebola and other diseases and providing necessary interventions to ensure a society free of such issues in Ghana and Africa at large. The decision came after she had to care for two of her Aunts who suffered from kidney related ailments.

Usually celebrated on the second Thursday in March, the mission of World Kidney Day is to raise awareness of the importance of our kidneys to our overall health and to reduce the frequency and impact of kidney disease and its associated health problems worldwide.

The walk was supported by Verna Mineral Water and Eurostar Limousine…
