US Presbyterian Church Recognises Gay Marriage While Ghanaians Continue to Assault Gays

Gay

Whilst we sit in Ghana assaulting people of different sexuality because of some dogma drilled into our head, the rest of the civilised world moves on.

The Presbyterian Church in the USA would formally approve of gay marriages after a New Jersey district’s approval clinched the vote in favour of approval. This is a debate that had been going on for a while and has finally received the needed approval from the church.

The Presbyterian Church, with 1.8m members, is the largest Protestant church in the US to approve gay marriage, according to the BBC.

However whilst approving it, the church still refuses to officiate one. The policy in parts read…

“Marriage involves a unique commitment between two people, traditionally a man and a woman, to love and support each other for the rest of their lives”

The policy comes into effect on June 21, 2015.
