The Black Stars were in action Tuesday night in Paris as they took on the Eagles of Mali in an international friendly game.

Avram Grant’s side were back in action after losing 2-1 to Senegal in an earlier friendly, their first outing after the heartbreaking Cup of Nations final.

Sporting a much changed squad, Ghana took the lead in the 56th minute through Udinese midfield dynamo Emannuel Agyemang Badu. Richmond Boakye Yiadom’s through pass poked home by the diminutive midfielder.

Senegal equalised from spot in the 71st minute. Bakary Sako converting the penalty after Boakye Yiadom committed a foul off a corner kick.

Both coaches rang the changes in the 2nd half, as are common in friendlies, but nothing changed and the game ended in a stalemate.

Whilst an attempt to give several new players a chance to audition, most of the AFCON squad partook; including player of the tournament Atsu and the burgeoning Jordan Ayew.

The Black Stars would next be in action for the 2017 AFCON qualifiers, with the draw set to take place on 8 April. The hosts would also be announced on that date, with only three nations left standing at this point: Algeria, Gabon, and Ghana.
