British Tennis star Andy Murray yesterday tied the knot to his long time girlfriend Kim Sears in a simple ceremony in Dublane.

The British number one and two times Grand Slam winner finally tied the knot to Sears, who he has been together with for close to ten years.

The pair got engaged in November of last year.

The ceremony took place at the Dublane Cathedral, in Murray’s hometown of Dublane, Scotland. According to the BBC, it was a small, private affair, followed by a reception for family members and close friends.

Murray has always been a reserved individual, so no wonder there was little pageantry and pomp.

The 27 year old Scot is Britian’s top tennis player, ranked No.3 in the world and holder of two Grand Slam crowns; the 2012 US Open and the 2013 British Open. He also has an Olympic gold medal from the 2012 London games- when he beat possibly tennis’ greatest ever player Roger Federer in the final.
