This tragic story on GraphicOnline illustrates quite clearly the dangers of ignorance, and why it is one of the biggest problems we need cleared from this country.

Motherhood is not an easy business, so if you don’t know something at the very least you enquire from those more experienced than you are.

And not knowing that DDT is poisonous? I mean, who doesn’t know that?

A 23 year old woman is in the grips of police after she administered an enema to her child, now deceased. The enema, applied in our part of the world with that lovely device called ‘bentua’, was made of DDT.

DDT, of course, is that most deadly of pesticides. It’s one of the most common, and the fact that the woman did not know about it, or knew and used it anyway, is an indication of gross negligence.

In a new video that surfaced today, Rihanna was seen snorting ‘something’, which many believe to be coke (cocaine).

Hello Chris,

I am just going to cut to the chase. I am mad and sad at every media outlet including you. As a matter of fact I expect more from you because you have exposure to journalism outside of Ghana. Why does the media in Ghana not protect rape victims in Ghana? Why do we post the picture,age, workplace etc of victims?

This is why rape is as high as it is in the world because besides the emotional and physical trauma they have to deal with becoming a “rape celebrity”. Women are punished and shamed for the rest of their lives by the rapist and by journalist.

I’ll cite the woman who was alleged to be raped by KKD. You posted her picture, name and age. Would it have hurt to conceal her identity? In this internet age nothing you post goes away. Imagine being her, 200 years from now when she heals each time she or an employer googlies her she has to be reminded she was raped. Its not okay!! and it needs to stop!!.. No traffic on your page is worth someone’s life being ruined. I live in the US and every time a woman is raped she is protected. Her identity is not splashed on blogs and newspapers.

There are many things that do not make sense in the Christian Bible, when it’s taken as a standalone work of literature and subjected to rational enquiry. There are stories teaching terrible morals quick fits of anger from God, often leading to mass deaths, and tons of tons of contradictions.

One story that has stood out to me recently is the story of Moses and Pharaoh, and the exodus of the Israelites from Egypt. Those verses of the Bible contain some of the greatest atrocities, demonstrating God’s love for mass punishment instead of targeting those at fault. Still, the plagues are not my focus today, but something just a little bit earlier.

Now God is an omniscient and omnipotent deity, of that there is no doubt (according to Christians anyway). Now when God wanted to get his people out of slavery and sent Moses to make the petition, he could have just made Pharaoh acquiesce to the request. That would have saved a lot of lives in the long run, and I’m sure every first born in Egypt would have been grateful for that.

Absent that, God could have just let the situation play out, and let Pharaoh reach a decision on his own. But not only did he refuse to intervene favourably, he intentionally hardened Pharaoh’s heart so he would stop the exodus despite all the harm befalling his people.

The jury is made up of film makers, film experts, film critics, film lovers, and media personnel’s with original and diverse points of view. They select films from both the documentary and dramatic categories to receive a range of awards, although it is possible to conduct the selection process by teleconference, the preferred approach would be a face-to-face meeting of the Committee to allow for optimum back-and-forth discussion and deliberation during the selection process.

The Grand Jury plays a critical role in ensuring the success and reputation of Golden Movie Awards, its role will be to evaluate nominations ,vote on the winner from the pool of nominations, ensuring that the process is fair and unbiased. The Committee will be independent, but supported by the organization administering the prize. The Selection Committee’s operations are beyond reproach for the Golden Movie Awards to become the highly prestigious Awards for Africa.

There’s this ABC family drama that I watch every once in a while, Switched at Birth. It chronicles a somewhat similar situation, where a mistake at the hospital separates a new mother and their child.

This must be a really terrible situation, as few things on this earth surpass the pain of childbirth, not to talk of that of a mother losing her child.

Zella Jackson Price had to deal with that for 49 years, after a mistake at the hospital she gave birth in led her to believe her new born was dead. The child ended up being adopted, and grew up believing her mom had voluntarily given her away.

Melanie Gilmore, the lost child, raised a family of her own, having two kids. With the name on Melanie’s birth certificate, the two kids started looking for their long lost grandma.

Exactly one year ago today, the Islamic terrorist group Boko Haram captured over 200 schoolgirls from the Nigerian town of Chibok. That spawned the worldwide #BringBackOurGirls campaign, which remarkably everyone forgot about after two weeks.

Since then, Boko Haram has rather grown from strength to strength; meaning a year after the kidnappings no one is any closer to rescuing the girls. A damning indictment on both Nigeria and African leaders who have stayed quiet on the issue.

Kim And Kanye Take North West To Be Baptised: In Israel
