New Music: ‘Twe Mame’ By Obrafour Feat. Lousika | When French Meets Twi On Hammer’s Beat

Obrafour Feat. Lousika
Obrafour Feat. Lousika

Hammer of Last Two music is always crazy on the beat but his beats take their full glory when you have a great MC like Obrafour riding on the beat waves. This is exactly what happens on ‘Twe Mame‘, a new single off Obrafour’s next studio album…

As if the Obrafour’s perfect lines on the beat is not enough, Lousika also jumps on the beat in French—and that is what we call “when Twi meets French on Hammer’s beat.”

The beat is a departure from Hammer’s signature hiphop beat, usually with strong bass—but the quality and push remains the same. You can’t stop nodding!

Listen to the song below…

My Take On the Increasing Xenophobic Attacks in South Africa + Why Blame Slavery, Apartheid or the White Man For This Too?

Chris-Vincent Agyapong Febiri
Chris-Vincent Agyapong Febiri

So South Africans are killing other African immigrants—simply because they claim these foreigners are taking their jobs.

I have heard arguments that other African countries helped South Africa liberate itself from apartheid and as such they cannot do that to these same Africans.

Even if we did not help South Africans, they do not have any right to kill other Africans in their countries for whatever absurd reasons they are asserting.

Maybe, we should award the Europeans and American whites for their tolerance and hospitality, because, look at what we are doing to ourselves on our own continent—yet we flood into Europe and America and we don’t get lynched, at least not in this century.

Africans are becoming more brutish as the day goes by!

Now we are blaming white people, Apartheid and Slavery for the increasing Brutish nature of Africans—and the violence against other Africans in South Africa huh?

Nigeria’s President-Elect: Mohammed Buhari Pledges To Stop Boko Haram

Muhammadu Buhari
Muhammadu Buhari

The wind of change, which many Ghanaian are hoping would sweep over this country in 2016, is already roaring way across Nigeria. The Government of incumbent Goodluck Jonathan was emphatically swept aside as Nigeria recorded the first loss of an incumbent government in its history.

One factor that led to the change, was the Islamic Terrorist group Boko Haram. They’ve been causing havoc in Nigeria for a while now, carrying out bombings, razing down villages, kidnapping girls and women. The feeling of the populace was that the government’s response to this crisis was lukewarm at best.

So the new President is aware of the expectations on him in that regard. In an op-ed piece for the New York Times, Gen Buhari pledges that his government’s response to the threat would be more serious. He pledges to stop the group, although he says he can make no promises that the abducted Chibok girls can be returned safe and sound.

Accra Hearts of Oak to Take On Mali’s Djoliba In Confed Cup Action Today

Accra Hearts of Oak
Accra Hearts of Oak

Ghana’s ‘last man standing’ in continental competition, Glorious Accra Hearts of Oak; are set to take on Mali’s AS Djoliba in the final qualification round of this year’s CAF Confederations Cup.

Hearts, sometimes dubbed ‘continental club masters’, are just two games away from entering the money zone of the competition; the group stage level which they haven’t reached in any CAF competition since the ill-fated Champions League campaign of 2009.

Despite being kind of a mess locally, they’ve unexpectedly shined on the continent, and would be hoping to take this unexpected run just one step further to reach the money zone.

One of the rear tires blew out, and the bus caught fire as everyone evacuated. The singer posted on Instagram that she was travelling with her husband, tour manager, and driver, and that everyone was ‘SAFE AND SOUND’.

‘ Hey guys, we had a crazy morning on the way to Dallas today. Our bus tire caught on fire and we had to evacuate very quickly. EVERYONE IS SAFE AND SOUND. It was me, my husband, our tour manager, and driver. Thanking God for our safety and the safety of all of those who helped put this fire out and keep us safe. Love you all!!!! ~hillary’

A short while later, the singer posted another picture on Instagram. This time, according to her, she had received a picture of the sole survivor of the fire- her holy bible. Whilst everything else had burned, the word of God had survived the blazing inferno.

The Problem With Africa is US | South Africa’s Xenophobic in FOCUS

South Africa
South Africa

For most Africans, Africa is home. We are supposed to be a formidable force which cannot easily be broken. Leadership has failed us on many fronts, from the Kwamina Ansah’s who gave the Europeans access to his people just because of schnapp and gun powder to more recent nation wreckers we have now, something has gone wrong and the new generation has to fix it.

South Africa has started experiencing xenophobic attacks comparable to that of 2008 and the question is why does the South African government allow that to happen again? I think South Africa is experiencing a leadership crisis. Every time you hear of a place with a leadership crisis, blame the people.

The African National Congress (ANC) of South Africa has been the party in power for close to twenty years. Mandela set a very high standard of leadership even Europeans and Western leaders may never achieve in their lifetime and as a result of the hardwork and sacrifice by this great man, pre-apartheid and apartheid born South Africans feel eternally loyal to the ANC.

This has led to this point whereby even if ANC presents a dog as a flagbearer, South Africans are most likely to vote for it massively because to them the dog is Mandela. So at this point you have a corrupt, incompetent person like Jacob Zuma leading such a potential super power. (The sentences might be close but I am in no way saying Jacob Zuma is the dog)

Post apartheid ‘babies’ need to begin a revolution not necessarily by voting Julius Malema (He’s probably just bitter about leaving ANC) but by identifying good leadership material and giving such people their support.

I don’t understand why and how people think you are exaggerating or being too melodramatic when you say corruption and bad leadership is a national security threat. A typical example is South Africa. The sad fact however is that the frustration is not meted out on the bad leaders but rather on innocent people. This is a country which not too long ago was fighting discrimination on the basis of colour, a fight which almost every African country joined in diverse forms. Now here is the irony, today it’s a crime to be a black African in South Africa and who are doing the hunting? Black South Africans! South Africans should bow their heads in shame and ensure this menace stops and never happens again. It is absolutely ludicrous, and the highest form of cowardice to blame black foreigners for causing the economic problems.
