Kwaku Sintim-Misah popularly known as KSM, has shared his religious views as well as explained why he does not go to church.

Though his late biological father was once the moderator of the Presbyterian church of Ghana, KSM has opined that he does not go to church. “I don’t go to church. I don’t have any particular church that I can say I attend Mamprobi Methodist or Adenta Presby or anything like that.

Asked why he does not attend church, he said “I’m more spiritual. I believe in spirituality. Look, I don’t attend church and I say and will say this anytime anywhere! I have no shame in saying this at all!” KSM said on ‘Hanging Out With KOD’ when he appeared on the show as a guest personality.

He further explained that Jesus Christ, around whom Christianity revolves, did not come into this world to preach religion. “Jesus Christ did not preach religion. He did not! He preached spirituality – which is a way we must live in our everyday life.”

According to KSM, he shunned being religious through the influence of his senior sister Joyce Anima-Misah whom according to the former, is very particular about spirituality to religion and religious sects. “I actually became more spiritual through the influence of my sister Anima-Misah. She is very spiritual so she influenced me.”

For the past year or so since I became somewhat outspoken with my beliefs, I’ve gotten into several arguments with several of my Christian friends. And without fail they all have a certain level of smug superiority about them; we have the right way, and you don’t, it sounds like to me. And PS: you’re going to burn in hell fire

I tolerate that most of the time, because it’s a little sad that they do not see the glaring irony of a loving father sending most of his children to burn in a lake of fire; for ETERNITY. Still, it doesn’t stop me thinking of a way I could get the reasons across for Christianity’s ordinariness in the grand scheme of man’s religious history.

So looking at all the religions man has made up in our history, what makes Christianity special? Nothing, I argue. We have certainly taken it as seriously as nations take the world cup, but the likelihood is that Christianity is just one in a wide expanse of man-made religions, and the reasons for you being one are more fortuitous than anything.

So why is Christianity nothing special?

Man Has Always Had Religion

It’s the oldest social institution, I dare say; though don’t quote me on this one. For Millennia, man has battled many obstacles, and man has always found a way to explain them away.

In the past, when nothing was known about the natural world, it made sense to explain away earthquakes, volcanic eruptions, tsunamis, and other massive disasters that occurred arbitrarily and led to massive loss of life as the works of an angry god. We are pattern seeking mammals, the scientists like to say; meaning to us a bad explanation is better than no explanation.

It was always comforting to think there was a deity watching over what was a pretty merciless existence, and to think that we could do something about it, for example, through sacrifice, human or otherwise. That sense of having some say in what would happen to us was very important to us, and why we kept creating gods in our image.

So religion is nothing new, almost every society has had a form of it before. 2,000 years ago, some people built on the supposed works of a Jewish prophet, formed a church, which was lucky enough to get the backing of the Roman Empire at a point. 2,000 years of unimaginable violence later, it is the world’s largest religion.

The son of US Vice President Joe Biden, Beau Biden, has passed away after a protracted battle with cancer.

Beau Biden was the oldest son of the current vice president, and was a successful politician himself, having served two terms as the attorney general of Delaware.

He died Saturday night, his father revealed in a statement.

Apart from the brilliant acting and excellent English accent American actress-Lake Bell puts up, everything else though funny seem to have been borne out of coincidence in Ben Palmer’s new romcom-Man Up, which pairs Bell (who plays Nancy) with British actor-Simon Pegg (who plays Jack).

Nancy, a thirty-something year old single woman is clothed in a Bridget Jones-type character—a woman has had no luck with love and has therefore given up to take refuge in drinking, munching junk foods and taking care of her cats. Beyond that, she manages to come out with a theory for every scenario—mostly, why things won’t work.

Set in London, the actual event which sets the film in motion takes place under the big Waterloo station clock where Nancy who was heading home for the 40^th anniversary of her parents was mistaken by Jack for his 24 year old blind date.

Unable to quickly pour out words that she is not the person Jack was actually meeting and perhaps due to her own inability to meet a man, Nancy pretends to be Jack’s blind date and kick it off with a struggling conversation.

Human beings will do anything for survival; it’s part of our DNA and in fact the reason why we’ve been able to live for many years. Our survival instinct is so high that we will kill to live—and I don’t have a problem with this.

If a hungry dying woman will have to suck the d*ck of an old ugly fat man so that he will hand over a piece of bread for her survival, I will salute this woman and even if I can, I will help by s*cking those stinking balls.

That is a necessity; we must live and travelling every mile regardless of conscience to be able to cater for your basic or survive should never be panned. That is, when the only way to survival depends on this act. I am talking about the absence of any other alternative.

Unless you have been kidnapped by Boko Haram where one of them may asked you to play with his suicide balls before you get a small portion of food, you are unlikely to ever find yourself in this situation.

Yet, a lot of women especially young Ghanaian women have started a revolution of s*cking the d*cks of old ugly fat married bastards each night so that they can buy their designer Louis Vuitton bags or travel first class.

My grandmother never saw an aeroplane, let alone to travel in first class and yet she lived to 107. How then does travelling first class or owning a red sole shoes-Louboutines become a survival mechanism—a necessity to many women across the globe to the extent that, they are ready to lick the balls of even a chimpanzee for that champagne to be popped for them?

I recently watched a video on Facebook which talked about this same issue and the fact that the video originated from America tells me that; it’s just not an African stupidity, but a global mania—caused by a new group of young women who want what they do not want to work for or do not really need in life.

If a gun is put to my head and the person behind the trigger is genuinely sincere that if I s*ck his shyt he will not blow my head, I will do it for my survival. And when I get home, I can mount a big stage to proudly tell the whole world how I managed to survive—the whole truth and nothing else.

Now are these women proud of what they are doing to openly discuss it? Hell No…

They may post dozens of photos on instagram and facebook every 5 minutes, showing off their expensive lifestyle and designer wears but interestingly, they never show the men who have made all these things possible. Even around lunch/dinner tables, they cut off the other person from the photos—what for? You know the answer.

It’s unfortunate and pathetic that our generation cannot boast of any other revolution than that which entails a generation of desperate d*ck suckers—who offer this service in exchange for shallow or material things.

Let’s cut the BS and have an honest conversation for once—I mean intelligent conversation and not the usual which is mostly founded on some emotional hogwash.

There are countless illiterate Ghanaian pastors who lead thousands of people and even though I am not saying higher education is the sole fountainhead of knowledge, when it comes to reading and writing, it’s the dominant sector.

Most western pastors are very educated and those without P.hds or two degrees can boast of some diploma or degree in Theology. I still find it difficult to entertain Theology as an academic discipline though…

For one to be able to interpret a piece of writing, the person must first be able to read it and perfectly understand it. And then proceed to correctly interpret it or share it with his audience.

Even as a mere literature book, you need a grasp of certain level of English (particularly literature) to be able to fully get the meaning of almost every paragraph in the Bible.
