Hearts Of Oak Face Djoliba In Confederations Cup Game

Hearts of Oak
Hearts of Oak

The last remaining Ghanaian club in Africa, Hearts of Oak have come so close to making the group stage of this tournament for the first time in a decade.

For a club that originally not even supposed to play in this tournament, they have cobbled together an impressive run that they need to see through with advancement in Accra tomorrow.

Coming to town is Djoliba, the Malian side who lost the first leg 2-1 at home. Having a first leg away win to bring home is a fantastic situation, but Djoliba would prove a stern test that would require maximum effort from the Phobians to surmount.

President Mahama’s Communication Team Member-Alhaji Halidu Haruna Says the Ghanaian Female Celebrities Over 30 Who Are Not Married Are All PROSTITUTES…Sort Of

Alhaji Halidu Haruna

The meaning of prostitution has changed with age and lifestyle but we all know what it stands for in our corners. However, for a noble man who is said to be part of President Mahama’s communication team-Alhaji Halidu Haruna to say, that certain Ghanaian Celebrities who are over 30 years and not married are PROSTITUTES is shocking…

The notion that every woman wants to marry is primitive. Of course,  a lot of African women want to marry but the fact that it has not happened does not mean they are prostitutes.

Over the years GhanaCelebrities.Com has looked into why most of our female Ghanaia Celebrities are not getting the ring put on their fingers but to be frank, tagging them all as prostitutes by virtue of their age and status is pretty absurd.

KKD to Hold Thanksgiving Service After Rape Trial…God Has Become A Big JOKE

KKD
KKD

So a man of 50 years sleeps or allegedly rapes a 19 year old girl in a hotel bathroom—with the girl crying rape and because of lack of witnesses prosecution was dropped by the State, then the man heads to church to thank God.

The question is; Thank God for what?

Kwesi Kyei Darkwah (KKD) is heading to church-The Christ Foundation Family Church in Sukumono near the Golf Course tomorrow for thanksgiving—and I think he should be going there for confession or to ask forgiveness rather.

KKD wrote in an invitation that “Thanks again for your kindness and prayers through this false allegation and four months of persecution. I am deeply touched. Kindly join my family and friends at a Praise and Thanksgiving Service…this Sunday…,” reports Peace Fm.

As a christian, such actions make me wonder what we take God for—-because it seems we have turn God into some big joke. If KKD wants to go to church, I think he should be doing so for forgiveness purposes and not any kind of thanksgiving.

International Tele Evangelist, Dr. Lawrence Tetteh and Cardinal Leslie Tex Buabasah would be in charge of the service—coincidentally Dr. Lawrence Tetteh was alleged to be part of the entourage who went about begging on behalf of KKD for the victim to drop the case.

Baltimore Riots: 6 Officers Charged As Freddy Gray’s Death Is Ruled A Homicide

Baltimore Riots
Baltimore Riots

It only took a few vandalised properties and injured people, but authorities in Baltimore have charged the police officers involved in the unfortunate sequence of events that led to the death of Freddy Gray.

The 25 year old Gray was arrested by Police April 12, and somehow between his arrest and getting to the station he sustained severe injuries, including breaking his spine. He died of his injuries a week later.

Another case of the now all too common incidents of police brutality of black citizens, riots broke out from the very dissatisfied African American minority.

Baltimore State Attorney announced the intention to pursue charges against the officers, 6 in total. They are being charged with varying counts, from ‘misconduct in office’, ‘false imprisonment’, to the most serious one of ‘second degree depraved murder’ and ‘manslaughter’

The Big Preview: Floyd Mayweather Vs Manny Pacquiao | All You Need to Know + The Verdict

Floyd Mayweather Vs Manny Pacquiao
Floyd Mayweather Vs Manny Pacquiao

In a little under 24 hours the richest fight in boxing history would go down. It pits the best pugilists of this generation against each other, two bona fide future hall of famers.

The narratives surrounding this fight are just crazy. It’s one that has been half a decade in the making, which the masses have clamouring for but that somehow never materialised- until now.

It’s not just a clash of boxing styles, but a clash of worlds. Pacquiao is the ultimate aggressor, a relentless combination of speed, agility, and power. Mayweather is the consummate defender, the best this sport has ever seen. If he was a football team he’d be the quintessential Mourinho team.

Pacquiao is the laid back persona, a genuine good guy, humanitarian, politician, God-fearing. Mayweather is the stereotypical bad guy, brash, ostentatious, arrogant, been in trouble for domestic violence in the past.

‘This is Not the Ghana I Imagined When I Was A Kid | The Country is On A Cruise Country’ Writes Asaase

Electronic waste in Agbogbloshie dump, Accra, Ghana.

In Ghana, at this point in time, there are many things that are increasing the heat under our derriere and you will hear people defending them in various ways. But the ONE thing you don’t defend is the power rationing—this cannot be called rationing maybe you can help me find a good word for it because the term dumsor has become the title of every comedy skit in the world even the ones about condoms because once a Ghanaian sees dumsor anywhere even written on a public urinal wall it causes him/her to laugh.

This situation is not funny. I wrote an article earlier this year titled-A letter to the people of Ghana and along with the help of Chris-Vincent and the help of President John Mahama himself we are beginning to see the light.

I don’t want to refer to the male actor who sought to ease our tensed backs by telling us to give our President time (we have given him enough time) because in my opinion anyone who isn’t found to be piling pressure through any means possible on government to solve this problem is indeed an enemy of the state.

Oh yeah if you have a generator maybe you can afford to keep quiet but the real Ghanaians are complaining, kindly shut your trap! We don’t pay taxes and vote a President for him to be writing us love letters. This is a quote from a movie I watched, “some men are not born to be happy, they are born to be great”. For you to be called a President of a country, you should have prepared yourself enough to be in the class of those great men. You may or may not achieve the aim but it’s an ideal goal to set if you want to leave a mark. The likes of Nelson Mandela and Kwame Nkrumah, Ghandi, Martin Luther King are such examples. These men may have experienced very few pleasures of this life because their goal was bigger.
