If You Think John Dumelo’s Recent Dumsor Comment Makes Him A Punk…Meet Struggling Comedian-David Oscar Who is Blaming Ghanaian Citizens for Causing Dumsor…

In Africa, people cannot separate politics from national issues and this has been evident in the sort comments the various NDC celebrities have been making in the last few days in relation to the current power crisis-Dumsor.

Ghanaian actor-John Dumelo came under massive attack for saying, ‘Rome was not built in a day’ and as such Ghanaians should stop putting pressure on President Mahama—and allow him to solve the current power crisis at his own pace.

If you considered John Dumelo’s statement unforgiving , then I am sure you wouldn’t take it light with Ghanaian struggling comedian-David Oscar who blames Ghanaians for causing dumsor themselves—and says, he would be a hypocrite to join the #DumsorMustStop campaign.

The comedian who is not anyway funny took to his facebook to call those preparing to stage a #DumsorMustStop vigil a hypocrite by saying;

“I’m not even gonna be hypocritical and join the ‪#‎DumsorMustStop trend.

“How many of us have tried to conserve energy? Thanks to our waste, the dams are suffering. Don’t get me wrong, I’m a mindless critic of the president JDM, and I understand that there are alternative sources of energy, but do you think that if it was that easy to fix the power crisis, the president would not saved himself the blames and constant harassment?

“As a nation, we happen to be fault seekers and less of vision implementers. Dumsor must stop, but your constant whining and whimpering would not act as a magic wand. Period!”

What a loser…

  1. I dont see anything wrong with what he said.
In all honesty this blog is starting to become utter crap.
there is nothing wrong with what this man just said. he made a very good point. Ghanaians are fault finders. if those living in Ghana had used energy more efficiently there might be some electricity left.

secondly who ever posted this post is very ignorant. in all honesty I’m not sure why some of you waste time posting such nonsense. we are all ghanaian citizens one of the main reasons for some of the issues Ghana is facing is the belief that it is up to president to do everything and and fix everything. you all live in the country to. what are you doing to help? what ideas do you have? ghanians are so myopic. there are so many money making opportunities. e.g solar panels. bringing solar panels to ghana wll be another way of solving the issue and it will also help make a lot of money. ghanians need to sit and think about ways to better themselves and stop looking to Manaha to solve everything. he is not going through the struggles you are all going through. he has already sold more than half of Ghana’s properties to his brother. in all honesty I doubt he cares. his kids are too busy squandering money in dubai and his family is doing well. he has no reason to care.

instead if looking to Mahama as some sort of saviour, let us try and find solutions to this problem that will also create opportunities for the next generation. blaming mahama for dumsor is like blaming him for the cholera out break. is he meant to be cleaaning your house for you?

    Ghanaians need to wake up.

I dont even live in Ghana but so far I feel sorry for all of you

    • Clearly you don’t live in Ghana! Some of us were constant preachers of conservation and practised. The truth of the matter is when you conserve it should reflect in the amount of your pre paid credit you use but it doesn’t. So there is no point in conserving. You should be able to see the changes in consumption after starting to conserve. No matter how many light outs you experience, your pre paid credit finishes on the same day it finished the previous month and most Ghanaians experience what I’m talking about. So tell me where the benefit in conserving is?

    • You don’t even live here so don’t talk like all of us living here are some bunch of stupid people. If politicians or leaders in the country were this incompetent u wouldn’t have paid for a visa and bought a ticket to live there.
We are bashing Mahama because he is the leader who promised to end this a couple of years ago. No one said Mahama caused this!He said he was the saviour so next time no silly person will wake up next time and make all the promises in the world. We aren’t myopic either.Myopic people don’t see the full picture,we see what Ghana could be and it isn’t and whatever it takes for our leaders to make this country what it has to be we will do that!Leave us to do what we have to do. We don’t partake in the democratic process for fun. If I am supposed to bring solar panels and find solutions I should be the President or Minister of Energy. How the heck do u think people get by in this country? We justsee the bigger picture better than you and your selfish business plans. You don’t consciously create problems to create businsses for selfish people. So u are the myopic, selfish person who needs to wake up to the fact that she’s being raped by her leaders.

      • Before responding to comments kindly read them very carefully. Sit down and wait for the minister of energy to bring solar panels.

        Looool silly man ?.

    • You are as dumb as the person who wrote this bullcrap. How did Ghanaians misused the electricity? You don’t live in Ghana huh? I bet if you did you wouldn’t make this senseless statements. Talking of solar panels for the individuals, did you by any chance signed a check for them to invest in that? Please think next time before you write this long essay. Dumsor is for the government to fix and doing so will allow jobs and good investors to come down. Sorry but all the crap you posted is lame.

      Reply
      • And thus is exactly the mentality keeping all of you in bondage. Sit down there and wait for the government.

This has to be the most useless comment so far. The government is not doing anything and you want to sit down and wait instead of being innovative.
You think countries like the UK and America are where they are because they waited for the president. There are people developing business ideas and things that are changing the world and the lives of others and you want to sit down and wait for the president. Keep waiting.

Dumsor is for the government to fix. Since it is you should all shut up and wait for the government.

          • Looooooool stop using words you don’t understand.
In an embarrassment because some man I do not know is throwing insults at me for commenting in a blog and I’m laughing at him. That makes me embarrassing ? Woman stop using words you don’t understand. You’re embarrassing for condoning his behaviour.

I really don’t understand how some of you reason. It’s really disgusting. Stop using words you do not understand first and foremost.

          • I realized you are sad girl. I don’t blame you, 6 months aboard and you think you are on top of the world. Illegal immigrant come to Ghana ooo tonn. I now understand why he calls you stupid. We thought you said you weren’t the big lips/ ugly girl in the photo? Eii ewiase paa nie. You can’t even spell, why are you in Germany or Italy? Loooooooool, infact lmfaoooooooo. He says you are dumber than he thought and I totally agree with him. Stop embrassing yourself mama Germany aka queenrichlove aka akua aka I just deleted my photo aka kwasia baa. Loooooool

          • I read the comments and yours has to be the most silliest in all honesty. One the girl made a very good point. Ghana does need to invest in solar panels. there is ongoing research and a lot to support this. before arguing unnecessarily conduct some research into the subject. she clearly knows what she is talking about. the Minister of energy delivered a speech not so long ago. This is extremely embarrassing to read.

You also sound very ignorant. how does living abroad make her an illegal immigrant? she may have been born there. what evidence do you have to prove she has been there for six months? or that she is in ital or Germany?

Your comment is extremely dumbfounded and you honestly do not sound very smart. anyone who reads her comments and knows anything about energy will understand what she means. If you do not know what she is talking about conduct some research before jumping into an argument you know nothing about.
Regarding her big lips. I saw her picture. you will agree with me that she is an extremely attractive woman. Dont lie to yourself. he skin is literally flawless and she sounds like a very smart educated young woman.

          • since you called her ugly lipped can we see a picture of you so we can compare?
from where I’m standing it sounds like she is more beautiful than you are.

            you sound very insecure.
I will be waiting for your picture. we can get Chris to compae

          • So I ain’t the only one who thinks u a sad, pathetic fool.?? Is it not funny how someone can’t spell “you” and “your”.?? Hmm.!! But can make u feel so sad.?? Reading from BBC news n whites suggests Ghana needs solar panels so that’s so true.?? This tells me your level of education… U under serious mental slavery I must confess… No wonder your parents and urself is hustlin’ to get a European passport… How dumb.!! Anyways it’s been quiet here today and we waiting for u to come show ur stupidity… 1….2….3…. REPLY.!! ?????

          • You clearly are attracted to her. Stop lieing to yourself and embarrassing yourself on this blog.its very obvious from the way you are constantly trying to urge her on with idiotic comments to she replies. if you like her just ask for her pursue her and stop making a fool out of yourself. how can you be waiting for her to reply and searching for her pictures. do you not have anything better to do with your time?

Similar to Anita’s comment. you also sound like you’re not educated with regards to the issue of energy. she made a very good point. if Ghana invests in solar panels it will not only create electricity but opportunities such as jobs which could lead to economic growth. Ghana could also sell this energy to countries such as Nigeria to generate income.

it makes a lot of sense. you clearly do no know a lot about the subject. anyone who reads the comments and understands how the energy market works. educate yourself and stop embarrassing GH.

I only noticed your disgusting comments about her and her family. that was uncalled for. I have also read her comments and she has handled herself very well. at no point has she uttered any word about your family although she appears to be much better off than you.

Pleas respect your self and top embarrassing Ghanaians.
lastly I find it cute that you like her. it shows by the amount of effort you have spent in tracing down pictures although you are unable to confirm if it is actually her.

            that is very cute.

          • After reading your comments you and the other woman sound more like the pathetic fools here. there is nothing wrong with what she said. she hasn’t insulted either of you either.

            respect yourselves.

          • I’m embarrassing because some useless man I don’t know had time to go sarching for pictures of me? And decided to insult my family and people he knows nothing about ?

You’re the embarrassing one. In fact you’re an embarrassments to woman hood. I suggest you learn to read properly before commenting on things you know nothing about.

    • If this blog is becoming utter crap then my dear don’t come back here again. Find some place else to write your nonsense. Before you criticize a man, walk a mile in his shoes.
You should know that unless you really experience the exact same situation as another person, with the same burdens, problems and suffering you should ask yourself if you are in the proper position to judge or even criticize this person. If you don’t live in Ghana then you honestly have nothing sensible to say.

      Reply
      • And this is exactly the mentality that will keep all of you struggling for years to come.

Like I said. You should all sit down and wait for Mahama. Don’t take any initiative to solve the problem. Just wait for him while he squanders tax payers money

        Reply
        • All I’m trying to tell you is if you haven’t walked the walk then you don’t have permission to talk the talk. Or better still shut up and come slove the problem for us since you seem to think you have all the wisdom in this world.

          Reply
          • Its not about wisdom its about common sense.
moving forward I will not bother arguing with Ghanians. it makes sense why the economy is in the state its in and why even the president cannot be held accountable for his actions. you cant even have a debate with another person with out someone trying o throw insults. it is all too petty. no one has time for this. I was reading on the BBC news yesterday. the whites have the same idea I have. and there are plans to establish the same thing I just suggested above. they will come and establish it and charge all of you thousands for it. just like you all like it. As for me I will be investing so I can help find a solution and make money at the same time. 😀

            anyway. have a lovely day.

      • Akua, heard u 21 but honestly u look 35… U so pathetic hey… Still leaving wit ur wh**e mom I guess… I’m comin for u tho.!!

  2. He is entitled to his opinion let him be. Incompetence is the cause of our problem, all the staff of GridCo, ECG and VRA are mostly if not all Ghanaians. If they choose to mismange those institutions and the president will not fire them, we will continue to experience dumsor.

  3. The fact that people even say Nigeria,SA and other African countries are experiencing it shows we need to be really sad. First of all SAs power crisis isn’t this bad, it goes off for a couple of hours there. Secondly we have no business comparing it to Nigeria because Nigerians watched it grow hoping that it’ll be solved. The same catch phrase was used, “solving power problems doesn’t take a day” (but it doesn’t take 3 years too) and since the 80s till date their power problems haven’t gone away. Now politicians have created a business venture for their friends to import generators, power banks, solar panels etc. Some of us cannot afford those things so we will resist every form of enslavement. If that’s the same way we want to go, good for us but as for me I will support any attempt to ensure any government solves pertinent problems.

      • You should be ashamed of your self. I do not doubt I’m better than you. I can even tell just from the way you handle yourself. You are incapable of reasoning for your self or debating about serious matters without throwing insults at people you know nothing about. I will not even refer to the insult directed at my family because you sound like you need help. I pray God gives you wisdom and understanding so you can reason like a human being without the need to condescend so low. its not a good look and you will never go far in life with such an attitude. This explains why politicians are able to call Yvonne nelsons phone to call her an ashawo for her campaign. You are all your own enemies and will continue to suffer the way you are till you change your mindset.

        I wish you the best.

anyway I’m done now. Have a lovely day 😀
