‘Don’ try this at home’, they put on the screen every few minutes you’re watching professional wrestling. ‘Especially using toddlers as your opponents’, you would think that should go without saying.

Brandon Hoffman, from Jersey Shore, broke this cardinal rule and that has led to the tragic death of a child and left him in police clutches.

According to MailOnline, he was babysitting the 18 month old Bryson Shoemaker, son of his girlfriend Sierra Shoemaker, who was working at the time; when he somehow decided that using the child for wrestling moves was a good idea.

He tried The Undertaker’s ‘Last Ride’, aiming the child for the bed. But he missed, and Bryson hit the floor.

The boy suffered a broken neck and a collapsed lung, and was pronounced dead on arrival at the hospital.

Brandon initially went with the story that he threw the child in the air and missed him, but later broke down and confessed, saying he had tried some other moves with him prior to the accident.

He’s been charged with involuntary manslaughter, endangering the welfare of a child, and aggravated assault.

A lot of us, especially those who grew up worshipping wrestling, probably tried a few things we shouldn’t have tried; but for God’s sake do not involve a toddler. If you know anything about Undertaker’s ‘Last Ride’, you would realise even a successful implementation of the move is not without danger.
