Ireland Votes To Legalise Same Sex Marriage While Ghanaians Continue to Lynch Gays

Ireland same sex marriage

The Republic of Ireland has voted to legalise homosexual marriages after a majority vote in today’s referendum.

A referendum is the only method through which changes can be made to Ireland’s written constitution. Hitherto civil unions between homosexuals were recognised in the country, but they did not enjoy all legal protections available to heterosexual couples.

With the question, “Do you agree that marriage may be contracted in accordance with law by two persons without distinction as to their sex?” 1,201,607, representing 62%, voted yes.

With the passing of the proposal, gay couples would now receive exactly all the benefits and protections available to the more conventional heterosexual couples. 1. Gay people getting married isn’t an issue.. what people should be fighting is a man being legally allowed to marry his dog

  2. Ghana is not Ireland or any of these EU countries. We are not followers. Chris should come out of the closet. you seem to be endoursing homosexuality more than hardworking African women on your blog

  3. So what? Why is a man marrying another man “progress”? It is rather backwards. And just because Ireland and bunch of other countries are doing it doesn’t make it right. No one deserves to be killed for being gay but legally granting them right to marriage is NOT “progress”.

Chris, you really express some silly views on this blog, which I guess you are entitled to. It is your blog after all.
