Shots Fired At NPP Meeting Of Alleged Supporters Of Paul Afoko

NPP
NPP

The NPP are really not doing themselves any favours at a time when this government is ripe for the taking after four years of mismanagement.

Internal party strife led to the death of the Upper East Chairman of the party, bathed in acid in his car. Since then the party has been in severe turmoil, with party chairman and general secretary Paul Afoko and Kwabena Agyepong at the midst of the crisis.

One person was arrested in connection with the attack, and it’s alleged he’s the brother of Paul Afoko. The NPP are banding together to get rid of the two, with regional consensus being that the two should be stripped of their position.

Yet it seems some people are not content with a political solution to the crisis, and insist on senseless violence. According to myjoyonline, gunmen opened fire on a group of NPP supporters holding a meeting in Tamale, claiming they’re supporters of the embattled chairman Paul Afoko.

Police in the region have confirmed the incident, and say they’re purely treating it as a criminal matter. Luckily, no one was injured.

Can we just get rid of these two and find another alternative? At this rate I’d vote for Akua Donkor before I vote for either NDC or NPP.
