One of the reasons why I am so much in love with Ghana is the fact that the hovering nonsense starts from the ordinary man and it goes as high as to our leaders via the professionals.

I am sure you’ve spotted what sort of nonsense I am talking about here; our ingenious way to finding solutions to our problems is legendary—the Chinese need to come and learn from us.

Since the recent Accra flood will certainly return next year and the many years to come, Ghanaians are being encouraged to learn how to swim. Is this not EPIC?

The best solution to the problem is really simple; learn how to swim and you wouldn’t be taken away by whatever flood.

Of course, we can teach our cars, televisions and other electric appliances how to swim too. For the dogs, ducks and chickens, they have no problem—some can swim already and the others can fly.

Maybe I should invest in turning the gutters in to swimming pools; what a backwards thinking generation we’ve become. And I love the fact that our national television stations even support this epic hogwash…

When will we be serious as a country?
