Nigerian footballer David Oniya has reportedly died after collapsing during a match between his Malaysian club T-Team and Kelantan at the Sultan Mohd IV Stadium in Kota Baru on Saturday.
According to the club’s chief executive officer Syahrizan Mohd Zain, David Oniya collapsed just three minutes into the game and was quickly taken to a hospital nearby. “He was pronounced dead at the hospital about 30 minutes later,” said the CEO of T-Team.
The match was called off after 60 minutes when there was a report that Oniya had died.
