I think it’s Christopher Hitchens or George Carlin or some other smart guy who once remarked about how our deities are so concerned with what we do in our rooms whilst naked; basically religions are too obsessed with seks.

Why else would Pastor John Hagee make such absurd, not to talk about misogynistic comments, if not for believing in a sky fairy who hates people having seks.

The founder and senior pastor of the Cornerstone church in Texas thinks that not enough attention is being paid to blasphemy. He also thinks there’s nothing worse than women who scream God’s name whilst having seks, and if he had his way they would all be jailed.

Speaking to Newslo, Pastor Hagee said…

“Saying the Lord’s name in vain might seem petite and insignificant compared to some of the things that are going on in the world right now, even in churches all across America, but that’s precisely the problem. If the shepherds of a faith start doing wrong, what is the flock supposed to do? Follow in their footsteps? I don’t think so. The flock needs to get its bearings and start thinking for itself.

“But, nowadays you have people committing sin everywhere you look, including Houses of God, which are the holiest of places.

“There is no greater sin in terms of wrongly using God’s name than women who use it during seks. That is one of the filthiest, most derogatory and sinful uses of the Lord’s name I can think of. If it were up to me, I would put every single woman or girl who does that in jail. That would be a fine example of God’s wrath aimed at what is, in my opinion, a terrible misuse of our Maker’s good name.”

What about the men who do it? I would bet Pastor Hagee probably does it unconsciously when he’s with his wife. As for putting people in jail as an example of God’s wrath, I think if the Bible showed us anything it is that God has no problem showing his wrath if he wants to.

It’s a shame he just hasn’t wanted to for the past 2,000 years.
