These days the rappers go out of their way to get themselves arrested.

Diddy and Rick Ross are having their own brush with the law, and now you can add Earl Simmons to the list.

DMX was arrested by New York City Sheriff’s deputies on his way to perform at a concert. They were acting on a warrant out on him for unpaid child support.

According to Billboard…

“DMX has been arrested yet again. This time, the rap veteran was reportedly picked up in New York over unpaid child support.

DMX, whose real name is Earl Simmons, was heading to perform at Radio City Music Hall on Friday, June 26, when New York City Sheriff’s deputies took him in.

There was a warrant out for his arrest.

The rapper ended up missing his appearance at Friday’s Masters of Ceremony concert, which featured acts like Shabba Ranks, Rakim and Mase .

DMX has a long history of trouble with the law. In April, he was accused of robbing a man at a New Jersey gas
station. The rapper’s lawyer called the allegation “completely absurd.”
