Entire Staff At Tennessee County Clerk Office Resign In Order Not To Be Asked To Issue Gay Marriage Licences: And They Say They Are Doing It For The Glory Of God

Gay
Gay

People are taking this opposition to same seks marriage too seriously. Human beings are such hypocrites.

I mean, you cannot tell me these people do not flout any of the guidelines in the bible they hold so dear. There are a million insignificant things you do every day that are sins, but you go to church on Sunday and pray for forgiveness and you think that makes you qualified to condemn someone else who is flouting the rules of your imaginary God who writes books.

Anyway, the entire Tennessee county clerk’s office has resigned en masse in order to forestall any possible gay marriage certificate requests that they would receive. They say it conflicts with their religious belief and rather than be forced to comply with the Supreme Court ruling, they choose to resign.

Deputy county clerk Gwen Pope, whose resignation takes effect June 14, said they were doing it for the glory of God, and not for publicity.

My Thoughts On Shatta Wale’s Sale Of His Ghana Music Award Plaques For 2 Cedis | There Is NOTHING Inherently WRONG With This…

Shatta Wale
Shatta Wale

Ghana’s self-acclaimed dancehall King-Shatta Wale has offered to sell all his 3 Ghana Music Awards plaques for 2 Ghana Cedis, far less than 1 dollar—and somehow, some Ghanaians regard this as disrespectful to the organisers of the annual Ghana Music award scheme as well as the industry in entirety.

The sale of an award plaque by an artiste by default has no contemptuous connotation—and all around the world, artistes sell/have sold awards they’ve won in various countries.

In fact, the sale of awards became so worrying and foretelling to big awarding bodies like the Academy Awards (Oscars) some years ago to the extent that, they now have some sort of ‘unfair’ contract with the award winners—stating that, whoever wants to sell his or her Oscar award must first offer it for sale to the Academy for the paltry sum of $1.

And this applies to all the post 1950 Oscar winners, making it illegal today to sell an Oscar plaque won after 1950 without first offering it to the Academy.

Perhaps, Shatta Wale’s antics throw a challenge to the organisers of the annual Ghana Music Awards to consider this, and tow the Academy lines—which will prevent the sale of their plaques, to cut off the seemingly taint such sales would bring.

In 2013, Screenwriter Charles MacArthur’s 1935 “Academy First Award”, won at the 8th Annual Academy Awards for Best Story for The Scoundrel, was sold for $106,231.

Even before that, Magician-David Copperfield bought Casablanca director-Michael Curtiz’s 1943 Oscar plaque for $232,000.00 in 2003 and later sold it in a Nate Sanders auction in 2012, for over $2 million.

So there is nothing inherently wrong with the sale of awards’ an artiste has received—unless there is a binding contract which prevents the person for putting the plaque up for sale or which stipulates that sales must be made a particular way.

Vodoo Priest Arrested After Having Seks With 11 Year Old Girl To ‘Cleanse’ Her Of Evil Spirits

image

A so-called voodoo priest has been arrested by police in Florida for defiling an 11 year old girl.

The girl was brought to him by her mother, after he had convinced her that the girl was evil and needed to cleansed.

When they arrived at his house, he kept the mom inside whilst he took the girl to a shed in the back garden, according to The Mirror.

There, he had carnal knowledge of her, then gave her money to shut up.

The girl told her mom what had happened, but on confronting the juju man he told her she would die if she ever told anyone. So she kept mute for five years, afraid that telling anyone would unleash some dark powers on her: before mustering up courage to report the abuse last year

CONFIRMED: Sarkodie & Stonebwoy Performed in Front Of Just 27 People Made Up Of Cameramen, ‘Cleaners’ & Others At The ‘BET Experience’ (AUDIO Added)

Stonebwoy and Sarkodie
Stonebwoy and Sarkodie

Last year, GhanaCelebrities.Com published an article just after the BET Awards that Sarkodie, Tiwa Savage and the other African artistes who were nominated performed in front of cleaners, BET staff and technicians who made up the BET Experience crowd.

Many had their own doubt about this—and this year, it has again emerged that Sarkodie, Stonebwoy and the others performed in front of 27 people at the ‘BET Experience’. And this 27 people were partly made up of BET cameramen, technicians and we are sure the cleaners were there to add up to the numbers as usual.

Live Fm’s Jay Foley who was at the BET with Sarkodie, Stonebwoy and others categorically stated on Starr Fm a few hours ago that; he counted the people at the auditorium and they were exactly 27, including cameramen and others…

Pretty pathetic—yet every year, our big stars run to the BET for the same experience.

When I try to put my fingers out there to fetch the real benefits our African musicians derive from this BET Awards which is clothed in unending contempt—ranging from backstage awarding which has graduated to become pre-event awarding to performing in front of just 27 people, I am unable to understand why they keep going out there…

British Diplomat Craig Murray Sights IMF And The USA As Agents Destroying Ghana

Craig Murray

If there is anything our politicians love more than running to the Bretton-Woods institutions, cup in hand for bailouts; I’m yet to discover what that is.

There have been many debates about the pros and cons of this arrangement, though a clear cut answer has never been arrived at. In the interim, though, we keep going back for more; as the current IMF bailout facility we’re undertaking shows.

A former British deputy high commissioner to Ghana, Craig Murray has given his two cents on the matter. According to Murray, the dependency on those institutions is what is ruining Ghana.

He mentions that those institutions are hardly altruistic, and thus gain from whatever they do. He cites the current ‘dumsor’, which he thinks has external factors far outweighing the water level in Akosombo.

He predicts that the privatisation of ECG would have far worse repercussions, only serving to enrich the pockets of rich elite westerners, to the detriment of the Ghanaian.

It is a chilling piece, carrying a little more weight because it comes from a Westerner, one particular line stands out… “Indeed in thirty years close experience the net result of all IMF activity in Africa is to channel economic resources to westerners – and not to ordinary western people, but to the wealthiest corporations and especially to western bankers”

He made the comments in a blog post, found here. You can read the full text below…

“Just ten years ago, Ghana had the most reliable electricity supply in all of Africa and the highest percentage of households connected to the grid in all of Africa – including South Africa. The Volta River Authority, the power producer and distributor was, in my very considerable experience, the best run and most efficient public utility in all of Africa. Indeed it was truly world class, and Ghana was proud of it.

Obviously the sight of truly successful public owned and run enterprise was too much of a threat to the neo-liberal ideologues of the IMF and World Bank. When Ghana needed some temporary financial assistance (against a generally healthy background) the IMF insisted that VRA be broken up. Right wing neoliberal dogma was applied to the Ghanaian electricity market. Electricity was separated between production and distribution, and private sector Independent Power Producers introduced..

OMG
OMG

This 87 year old man must have some hard balls—at this age, he should have given up on sex and should not even engage in it, let alone to rape an old woman.
