Rapper 50 Cent Files For BANKRUPTCY | WTF Happened?

This looks like an attempt by 50 Cent not to pay Rick Ross’ Baby Mama-Lastonia Leviston the $5m a Manhattan Supreme Court ordered him to pay to her about three days ago in damages for uploading her s*x t*pe to the internet in 2009.

Last Friday, it emerged that a court ordered the rap star, real name Curtis Jackson to pay Lastonia the above amount; $2.5 million of the sum is for “violating her civil rights for using her image without her permission,” and the other $2.5 million is for “intentional infliction of emotional distress,”—today, 50 Cent has filed for chapter 11 bankruptcy protection

“In court papers filed in the U.S. Bankruptcy Court in Hartford, Conn., Mr. Jackson reported assets and debts each in the range of $10 million to $50 million,” reports the Wall Street Journal.

On top of this, notes TMZ, “50 lost a court case in which a jury socked him with a $17.2 million judgment over ripping off a headphones design [in 2014]. It’s a breathtaking fall.”

Interestingly, just this May, Forbes estimated 50’s net worth at $155 million, ranking him at No. 4 on the list of the wealthiest hip-hop artists.

Today, 50 Cent is literally saying, he does not even have 50 Cent—to buy a can of coke!

WTF happened to all the money he made? The guys never learn huh? Now, let’s call him zero Cent!

  1. he’s worth $155 mil. “Bankrupt” doesn’t necessarily mean he’s broke in this case. 50 has been sued twice and he’s doing this so he doesn’t have to fork up any money. Idk how it’ll all play out (because the legal system isn’t that naive to not realize what he’s up to) but he’s definitely far from being broke. To him he’s making a smart move. No matter how stupid these bankruptcy headlines make him look.
