Ghanaian Dancehall act, Stonebwouy (real name Livingstone Etse Satekla) is reported to have turned down a brand ambassadorial offer from telecommunications company – Glo.

According to nydjlive.com, the arecently crowned Vodafone Ghana Music Awards (VGMAs) Artiste of the Year refused to accept the $80,000 deal since he believes he deserves better offer than that.

The website continued to state that the contract will restrict the artiste from performing at events organized by other telecommunication companies like MTN, Tigo, Vodafone, Airtel, and the rest.

It appears the ‘Baafira’ hit maker is taking some clues from fellow celebrities who signed similar endorsement deal by the same company in the past.

Some of them include Tinny, Asem, Reggie Rockstone, etc., who were not able to performon various events organized by competing brands.

  4. Hmm some of the comments here are so lame!
So because of USD80,000 over whatever period you sell your career to a Telco that hardly organises events. what that means is you don’t get the chance to perform. What has come out of all those numerous artiste Glo signed previously? They were promised shows but nothing happened. What is USD80,000? when Nigerians artist are signing six digits for the same Telco. if you believe in your talent you don’t jam at every offer!
