Asamoah Gyan has already started netting the goals for his new Chinese club.
The new striker for Shanghai SIPG scored mere minutes after coming on as a substitute in his side’s league game. Gyan’s 80 th minute header won a tight game 2-1 for Shanghai.
Earlier, the Ghana captain had won a penalty which had led to the equaliser for Sven Goran Eriksen’s team. The late header sent the crowd into raptures, with Gyan running across to give one of his trademark boogey moves to the crowd.
The win sent his side top of the league, having amassed 41 points from 19 games. Despite Gyan being a relative newcomer in the team, he seems to have acclimatised straight away.
It looks like the Chinese are getting real value for their money.
