Gospel Musician, Nicholas Omane Acheampong says money should not be the first priority to gospel musicians but rather concentrate and focus on their careers and also help win more souls for Christ.

The ‘Tabitha Kum’ singer said, the image or the likeliness of God should reflect on the work of gospel musicians because they doesn’t sing to praise themselves or ladies as circular musicians do; but is to praise God and encourage others to do same.

He recounted that, “In Ghana, gospel is always given an entertainment approach which is absolutely wrong because the entertainment aspect of the gospel songs is very little so there is no way you can expect to make money”.

According to him, gospel musicians are servants of God so they don’t give themselves titles like the circular musicians do, “Whether the circular musicians like it or not we are the ones who pray for God’s protection upon their lives.”

Omane Acheampong told Black I on Daybreak Hitz (Showbiz Review) on Hitz Fm, that “in his view, gospel musicians should not expect monetary rewards after performing at shows since they are ministers of God.”

Well said Nicholas…but haven’t you accepted any envelopes from churches after working for them? or you don’t accept transportation fees too?
