Nominations List For 67th Primetime Emmy Awards: Game Of Thrones Leads The Way With 24 Nominations

The countdown to the 2015 Emmy awards has been set in motion with the release of nominees for this year’s big night.

It’s been a great year in television, with some shows breaking out for the first time this year. Empire is one of those, whilst veterans Game of Thrones, Downton Abbey, and Homeland return with more nominations.

Game of Thrones easily leads the nominations, amassing 24, including a nod for ‘Outstanding Drama Series’, and ‘Supporting Actor/Actress’ nominations for Peter Dinklage, Emilia Clarke, and Lena Headey.

Other shows in that most venerable of categories include ‘Homeland’, ‘Better Call Saul’, ‘Downton Abbey’, and ‘Mad Men’.

This year’s awards night is set to take place at the Microsoft Theatre in Los Angeles on September 20.
