Chris Brown is in trouble at Philippines —fraud allegations have been leveled against him for a concert he canceled past New Year’s eve.
Brown who went back to the perform at a concert at Manila on Tuesday was prevented from leaving on a private jet on Wednesday pending clearance by the Bureau of Immigration in Philippines.
The singer cancelled a New Year’s Eve Concert at the Philippine Arena at the last minute, reportedly because he lost his passport the day before the scheduled event in December last year.
Local promoters are now demanding back the money that was paid to him in advance for the concert.
Iglesia ni Cristo, a religious group that owns the New Year’s Eve concert venue had petitioned the Department of Justice for help to prosecute Brown.
