Ghanaian Music Producer Appiah Dankwah known in showbiz circles as Appietus has declared his intentions to contest for the Musiga Presidency when nominations are open.

Appietus says the incumbent President of the Musicians Union of Ghana (Musiga), Bice Osei Kuffour popularly known as Obour, has failed to deliver on his promises; and he is ready to do what do what President Obour was unable to do.

The music producer says he will “build a national studio where musicians who are part of MUSIGA and pay their dues will get it for half price”. He believes a national studio will help young musicians with a platform to promote their songs.”

On Wednesday, Appietus told Black I in an interview on (Daybreak Hitz) on Hitz Fm that;

“Obour’s term is almost over and he did not do all the things he said. For four years, nothing has been done about all the structures we put in place to help up and coming artistes.”

There was a lot of concentration on the old musicians than the future generation and it’s very worrying because they are the future generation who will hold this industry.”

Obour was voted to steered the affairs of Musiga in August 2011—after beating Nana Tuffour, Gyedu Blay Ambolley and Willi Roi..

The tenure of Obour will be ending in October this year…
