UK based Ghanaian lawyer Godwin Adjei-Gyamfi has petitioned Amnesty International to look into the suspicious circumstances surrounding the arrest, trial, and subsequent sentencing of one Charles Antwi, accused of attempting to kill the President John Mahama.
John Antwi was arrested by National Security Operatives at the Ringway Assemblies of God Church, where the president worships, last Sunday, July 26. Two days later, this gunman had already been sentenced to 10 years in jail.
