A Frustrated 20-Year-Old Mother Kills Her Baby At Garu-Duri In Ghana Due To Disability Stigmatization

It appears organizations who advocate for the removal of the stigma associated with disability has a lot to do–disability turns out to be a stigma in many part of the world. Unfortunately, our dear nation Ghana is not omitted from this list when it comes to the isolation, the neglect and discrimination against people with disabilities.

This report by the Ghana News Agency really saddens my heart and I think the death of a one- and-a half-year-old baby who was needlessly killed by the mother could have been avoided if the residents and family members have known better.

To celebrate the birthday of Khloe Kardashian’s new boo James Harden, the Kardashian/Jenner clan held a midnight fireworks show last Wednesday that disturbed a lot of people.

As is the norm amongst these people, the family is getting sued by residents of the area for the huge disturbance caused in the middle of the night by the fireworks display. A lot of them complained after the show and it seems they’re ready to take it to court.

His conviction, which occurred in record time and which was obviously full of flaws, was overturned by the Human Rights Division of the Accra High Court.

According to the Ghanaian singer, she only met her dad when she was 23 years old—pretty shocking right?

In a recent interview with Myafricapodcast.com, the singer said, ‘’I met him when I was twenty-three. It was pretty much me and my mum. I was ten years old and she [her mum] got married again.’’

She continued; ’My mum calls me and she is like come over and meet someone. I am like ‘okay’. I asked who that is and she said ‘okay it’s Bab’s’. I said ‘when you say Babs, do you mean my dad?’ She said, ‘yes’. My mum said my dad was kinda in town and he was trying to see me. I was like okay…’’

Ten Members Of Boko Haram Executed In Chad

Ten suspected members of the Islamist group Boko Haram were executed in Chad after being convicted of complicity in bomb blasts that rocked the Chadian capital N’Djamena back in June.

The ten were convicted a day prior, and reports now indicate they have been executed via firing squad.
