Mariah Carey got herself inducted into some August company after the official ceremony was held to present her with a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.

Mariah announced the news herself on her Instagram last week, and the ceremony was held yesterday in Hollywood.

In attendance were her twin kids, 4 year old Moroccan and Monroe, who were the real stars of the show. They made a nuisance of themselves throughout, but were a lovable addition to proceedings.

Mariah was overwhelmed with emotions, telling her fans, “Really, you’re melting my heart, you’re making me cry, and that’s why I’m keeping on my sunglasses. But I cannot thank you enough. This is a huge honor.”

Mariah’s would be the 2,556th star on the famous walk, which honours the best in the showbiz industry.

Carey is one of the most successful acts in music. She has 18 No. 1 hits on the Billboard Hot 100 chart, sold millions of albums and won a number of awards, including five Grammys.
