Bad girl RiRi is taking another step in her career, landing a gig on popular musical show NBC’s ‘The Voice’

Rihanna would act in the capacity as ‘key advisor’ to the judges. It’s a role previously held by other pop icons like Taylor Swift, Nate Reuss and Chris Martin.

“We landed Rihanna to be the key advisor to all the coaches this fall,” NBC Entertainment Chairman Robert Greenblatt said. “This is one of music’s true supervisors coming on board to influence the lives and careers of the performers.”

‘The Voice’, which returns on the US network on September 21, has been identified as one of the key reasons long time staple American Idol is going out of business. The judges for the upcoming season are Adam Levine, Blake Shelton, Pharrell Williams, and Gwen Stefani.

In addition to Rihanna, “The Voice” has also recruited Missy Elliott, Selena Gomez, John Fogerty and Brad Paisley to individually mentor teams during the show’s Battle Rounds.
